Tanaka, step up, take charge, control your game. Offense wake up, men on get them in. And hope our friends the Kansas City Royals take care of Boston. Speaking of Boston what a clueless, classless bunch. John Farrell you need to apologize for you babies with dung in their diapers (Price & Pedroia) for their actions toward Eckersly. The man is a hall of famer, 24 seasons in the big leagues, played on champion ship teams. If the players don't like his critiques then improve the game. Still remember how the midget and his cronies stabbed Francona in the back. For that reason I laughed my ass off when Cleveland kicked the Boston Team out of the playoffs.

Keep your eye on the team right behind you. For now, they are the only prize you want to beat.
Tanaka, if you cannot pitch your best tonight, Girardi will have your ass on the bench. We need more
"fighters" to beat these guys. Now go out there and take care of business!

A comment was made that Price chose Boston. Don't remember weather I heard that said either an ESPN or MLB Broadcast. Price had been in there as an opponent so he should have had a good idea what he'd have been received if he did not perform up to standards. Now he's back on the DL and that may not set well. I spent 3.5 years in Massachusetts near the Boston Area an those New Englanders are hard core for their Red Sox. Long time fans remember that walking wounded Gibson hitting that bomb off of Eckersly in '88 changing the course of that series. Eckersly was as accountable after that game as he's been for any other not failing to respond to questions. Another comment was made that if young Red Sox Players don't know Eckerslys history they need to learn.

^^^ what blew my mind in game 1 with Gibby's HR, was the Bums scout M. Didier had informed Gibby to look for that backdoor slider with 2 strikes on him, ntm- Eck kept coming back n back with it??? Eck gave up 5 HR's that year during the season;.....that one ab was Gibson's only at bat in that Series-

I was watching that game, and even after all these years it still stuns. Oakland was expected to wallow allover the '88 Dodger Team. The scouting reports how valuable, just think 2001 ALCS. The Yankees were like 3-6 in the season series playing the big bad 116 game winning Mariners after coming off of a comeback win over Oakland. Seattle was supposed to eat the Yankees but the Mariners were well scouted and the Yankees were the ones who did the eating.
