Honestly, imho, MLB has overstretched the game into something it never s/b... Opening Day in March; World Series going into November-WTF?? Shorten the damned season. Open mid-April, it's hell in these northern cities, NY, Boston, Cleveland, Cincy, Minnesota, Chicago and Detroit; while Milwaukee has its dome. Cold inclimate weather so easily destroys arms, legs even careers et al. Wtf- March and November baseball I won't have any hair by end of season, at this rate of my head... 1982 and prior, the Season Opener was April 7th-11th... I'd have no problem with a 154 game schedule, and eliminate the extra pointless Wild Card team and game. 4 teams in the ALDS... Has MLB become so $$$ greedy, as their approach centered on $$ overshadowing sport itself. Athletes have become disposable (and often overpaid) commodities more than anything... in a day and age when sports viewership attendance is waning more in the NFL, yet many other MLB Teams (other than the Yanx) saw less than 20,000 in attendance yesterday, first Sunday game of the season. Sure it was Easter, but when has that ever stopped fans from attending games-??? 10,000 fans in attendance in Cincy, sure the team sux, even with the Nats in town... Attendance and quality of teams play directly correlates to attendance. Where shitty teams reside attendance has dropped slightly, and slightly climbed in others with the better teams, i.e. Yanx continue to climb....Overall from 2010-2016 less than one million fans were in attendance, not much of a downturn overall.... but, but, but but.... http://www.ballparksofbaseball.com/2010s-ballpark-attendance/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/mauryb...llion-for-first-time-since-2002/#84922db326fb
