4 game sweep are somewhat improbable but not impossible. If Jmo can consistently stay ahead of the hitters Yanks have a chance to win another. Per River Avenue Blues article I read this AM, Judge since the ASB is hitting .169 with 21 strike outs, gotta turn that back around.
Buster Olney ✔@Buster_ESPN Medical staff of NYY believes the oft-injured Greg Bird could come back in latter half of August, which will shape team's 1B conversation. 9:46 AM - Jul 30, 2017
My apprehension about his participation in AS homerun derby was the drop off that he is mired in now........ I hope he is able to turn it around. Montgomery may not have the most explosive repertoire, but he displays grit & guts on the mound. He's a fighter.

...I'm not a huge fan of the HR Derby either and was also kinda hoping that Judge would decline...some people don't believe there's a correlation between a falloff of production after participating in that made for TV exhibition but there is some evidence to the contrary.
On Jmo, agreed, he's what I'd call a "steady eddie" comes out, eats innings, keeps his team in the game. I've enjoyed watching him since spring training, happy that he got a chance. I think he will have many a good season ahead.
had the Yanx of had any production at all at first base this yr; I'd be apprehensive. Here's to hoping Bird found his way back to flying; hell, soaring with the eagles...
JMo does not look like he's in control. Giving up too many hits in two innings +...............not his usual gritty performance.
Just doesn't have an out pitch. Every pitch is nibbling and will again have 100 pitches in the 5th if he lasts that long.
I'd say he gets it under control quick or Joe has to get him before the game gets out of hand. Not a good at thus far.!
