M. Pineda (5-9, 5.00) vs. B. Snell (2-4, 3.05) Gardner -LF Ellsbury -CF Beltran -DH Castro -2B McCann -C Gregorious -SS Headley -3B Refsnyder -1B Hicks -RF
About six in this starting lineup are tradeable. Curious that Tex and A-Roid are on the bench and possibly headed off the team. Their presence in the lineup has benefited the opposition more than helping the Yankees.
I thought about that myself, maybe one or both are soon to be released. In the meantime our buddy Gregorius flubs the dub with the bases juiced. Plenty of room on the trade wagon kids, just keep the non production alive.
Give this Tampa Bay organization credit.......... Their scouts sure know how to draft pitching. This Snell kid, 23 yrs old, knows how to pitch. Yankees should buy some of their scouts! Trashman has drafted one possible starter .....who has a future........in the last 5 years. Not acceptable for a supposedly elite baseball organization.
Long time Yankee Fans remember how the Yankees once brought them in young, moved them out when time came to do so. Cashman as we all know is a poor GM but equal time goes to the Tadpoles for not finding a better man for the job. Even more infuriating is the fact that the Yankees with all that tradition, money ect should be able to have a system developed to do as they did in the past. Yeah Tampa has drafted and chose well but I still hate the God Damn Rays and hope they get the hell out of town.
A terrible last place team about to sweep an ensconced 4th place Yankee squad. Maybe one day we can thank this Rays team for convincing the Yankees' owner to sell off players. Though it be of small solace now; it may prove mightily in a couple of years. Between now and then the road will be tough.......but at least we know there is talent on the way to the Big House!
Worst thing about this club is with all the alleged "boppers" the offense has just stunk. Timely hitting is a lost art and has been a lost art. If Half of the runners this group left on base this year had scored, this team would be about 5 or six games better. They are either all or nothing at all, consistency and the killer instinct are sadly lacking. One man, Beltran, no one else on a consistent basis at the dish other than perhaps Gregorius.
Two thoughts. Beltran has been the only run producer on a day in and day out basis. I'll miss this guy when he's traded. A constant this year with our starting pitching, whenever the Yankees get close or tie the game, the very next half inning the starter gives it right back......not a winning formula.
That's been going on all season Cage and your absolutely right. They find different ways to Shit the bed every single day. I want Pineda and Nova gone and unfortunately we are stuck with CC.
And there you have it, swept by the God Damn Tampa Bay Rays. Congratulations to A-rodham on his 5th consecutive strikeout. Keep those phones and deal making going.
