...^^^ but but but..."he saved all our young prospects" ! (and no, Severino and Judge are not the only prospects that could have been used in a trade)

Well, I am happy to see that Severino, Judge, Refsnyder, & Jagielo and some of the other pitchers like Lindgren & Clarkin are still with the team, Gary Sanchez will probably never see time... he could have been traded with many of the other kids down there... There were trade chips to be used... I am glad the a fore mentioned kids are still here, but he did nothing to help the current team...

What you see is what you get! And with that, I am concerned
that Ellsbury and Gardner are deflating average wise. These
two were hitting above .300. They have fallen off. They need
    to get on base.

As for CC, I just cross my fingers & hope the team scores
runs.........they will need to when CC pitches.

...and that's exactly the point. Some of the youngsters won't make it anyway and I'd much rather give up a prospect who may or may not become something 2-4 years from now in return for a proven player that can actually help the team now.

Anything done right by Sabathia this evening will probably be purely coincidental. If I were Girardi and he got whacked early I'd have him take on for the team and conserve the pen for the Toronto series. Just blatant stupidity running him out there every 5th day.

The Yankees haven't lost a series since the end of June. Other teams like the Blue Jays are allowed to get hot. And not for nothing but the Yankees are six games up in the loss column on both Toronto and Baltimore. So unless you expected the Yankees to go undefeated the rest of the way I don't get the complaining. Also, the offense minus last night was on a tear. The doom and gloom after a loss gets comical at times.

Fifty Six Games remain, being that no one has had the sack to put CC in the pen, or his not manning up and saying I'm hurting this team, CC would baring injury would see 11 more starts. Given his performance since the 13 season and the number of bombs he's given up I'd say he's like a Claymore Mine that can detonate any time. Not a pretty sight. Unless a miracle of God occurs and that man gets hit shit all in one briefcase it will not bode well for this team.

    ...lol...bookmarked.

...as has been pointed out in another thread, there are multiple teams who had large divisional leads this season only to see them evaporate in a week or so...and I don't know where the "doom and gloom" thing comes from...no one has said any such thing...the crux of this thread is about the displeasure CC gives when he takes the mound.
...please don't tell me that you get a warm and fuzzy feeling whenever he pitches?

It's not warm and fuzzy but I don't fear these opponents like some others do.

...HA !...with an ERA of 5.54 you should fear them whenever he pitches.

:grim: did someone order "doom and gloom".....did you want that with a side of despair? Cannot afford a series loss here...especially at home. And that goes for the rest of the season...must win home series throughout.

    Agree 100%.

If I didn't know any better it's sounding almost as if some are getting spoiled.
Even the seasoned Yankee fans I know - who aren't posters on this board, who DID expect the Yanks to contend and do better than the general Media regarding the division- didn't expect the Yanks to win the division by 6-10 games or so.

We all know "make or break" time is approaching.....it's called a pennant race and it looks as if the Yanks have made the choice to look first within the org for "help".

I'm very worried about Toronto - top scoring team who now have an ace pitcher....not a heart warming thought.
Yanks have 13 games left with Toronto including 6 of their next 9 games.
    And don't sleep on Baltimore.
Toronto ends the season with four games at Baltimore and three at Tampa.

If Toronto plays .600 or better ball the rest of the way I guess/hope (OBVIOUSLY) the Yanks could at least be a WC team....and I mean WIN the WC game.

And I would appreciate it if somebody would give us a couple of names of SP the Yanks should acquire who would be worthy upgrades not named Cueto, Price and Hamels by trading non "top" prospects.....and would it actually be worth surrending a couple of B level prospects for this "SP"......?

All the pre-game information put out on CC vs Boston is just flat out depressing.

Let's try and hope the Yanks win AND gain a game on Baltimore and Toronto.
Toronto has been playing well but a couple of Yankee wins in the next couple of days puts the breaks on the Blowjo.,.err, I mean the BlueJays for the time being......screeeeech.

One thing is CERTAIN, from here on- if the Yanks manage to play 5 worse in the W-L column than the birds from Baltimore and Toronto, those teams come up short of catching the Yankees. ◀A more comfortable, easier way of saying the Yanks NEED to WIN "all" their games.

    GO YANKS!

I wonder if the Sox are a little pissed at Sandoval for pretty much giving up batting from the right side. Here they thought they were signing a switch hitter only to have him become a full time lefty batter.
