Spent the morning detailing my car, like the 2016 Yankees it is aging, unlike the 2016 Yankees it performs well, and with the detail complete more polished and professional. Read the River Avenue Blues synopsis on last nights game. Those people run a Yankees blog but they cut no slack and tell it like it is. Lot's or empty seats out there. If this team maintains its poor performance there will be no bleacher creatures to perform a roll call. None of the past Yankees at the Old Timers game would admit it (politically correct) but inside they probably though you guys ain't about shit. And no joke, take the number 8 off of those uniforms.

Well, lets just keep plugging away.
Hal and co could be in for a rude awakening- after these next 5 games vs Col/Minn, they have 4 with Texas.
Yanks could be 8-10 games out staring at a three city 10 game road trip in 10 days.
    Could get late very early.

Doesn't look like Sabathia has very good control of this game, Girardi faces the same problem, an incompetent bunch of slackers in the bull pen, crock of shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy crap! It is mindless to keep bitchin' about this poor excuse for a major league team. This team
plain outright sucks. Its past glorious history has been sabotaged by clueless management. And yes,
Michael you are correct..........that No.8 needs to be taken off. This team offends Yankee Pride.

This isnt the first bad dry spell the org has seen and every one of these current Yankees are every bit as much a "Yankee" as any other past Yankee.
Obviously it doesnt look like any of them will win a Yankee WS or make the Hall of Fame- I'm only looking for this bunch to somehow make a race of this division before its over, thats the best I can do and believe me, it aint easy.

Memo to Chapman: mix in a slider or two.

Yanks win - jeez, lost 3/4 to Col.
Never like to make "do or die" proclamations in June when a team, ANY TEAM, is 6 games out - just doesn't sit right with my sensibities as a baseball fan who respects a 162 game schedule- but this team "must" take 5/7 from Minn and Tex. (wink)

I turned it off when they were down 4-8. Surprise, surprise. A game like this sure gives Hal
hope, and possibly in a buying mood! Yeah, right.

    It is what it is.
They're probably (and they should) make changes in mid relief and Eovaldi has to bounce back and show good improvement the rest of this season if not -imo- he'll continue to be the same old inconsistent high ERA/HIT pitcher as long as he's a Yankee. I'm not holding my breath.

Look for Severino to be called up and inserted into the rotation or bullpen. Yanks need to solidify mid relief and get good consistent SP from Eovaldi and another SP....Nova could be dumped in favor of Severino.

Yanks won't be buyers unless they actually gain a few games after this homestand and upcoming road trip.....and we don't see that happening, on the contrary, they could very well (and probably will be) buried by then.

I don't know what the seating capacity of the new Yankee Stadium is but seeing post game video of Headleys & Castros bombs showed a lot of empty seats. Box Score data claimed 40K for attendance but I have a hard time believing that. Fact remains the Yankees struggled to beat the Rockies one time, trouble in paradise. Take the 8 off of those uniforms.

Sell, sell, sell. If management is honestly trying to improve the future of the brand name,
the Yankees, sell is the only way to go. At least be honest with your loyal fans. Trash and
the bobble heads come across as delusional and insincere. "The Plan" has become a
running joke. Be transparent with Yankee fans for crying out loud.
