Opening with the news the Martian is back on the IL with what sounds like an oblique issue. Hopefully this kid is not a 20 year old Stanton! Need a big effort for the yanks tonight heading into the Baltimore series.
NEEDS: a catcher, and a 1st baseman. Wants: 3rd baseman, 2nd baseman We can’t keep trotting out Trevino and Wells. Neither of them are good defensively and offensively they aren’t good enough to make up for their crummy defense. Gotta get a REAL catcher. Obviously need a first baseman to get Rizzo the fuck out of here. Would be nice to get a third baseman. And would be great to trade away Gleyber in hopes of bringing back someone/something worthwhile.
Runner on first base and the whole right side of the infield is wide open and Volpe pulls the pitch and grounds into an inning ending DP. Not at all very smart.
C'mon Stroman, you gotta hold the runners a 1B better than that...the runner got such a huge jump that Trevino didn't even bother throwing to 2B.
Bases loaded no outs and don’t score. Gleyber swings at ball 4 outside and on the dirt, Trevino equally bad hack at a ball low and outside and DJ flies out to center. Total crap. Need some replacements up here. Too much dead wood. What will it take for braindead Boone to sit the useless Torres
I just said the same thing to my brother in law. Might be in second place soon. Every team has a rough patch but there’s some issues that will need to be addressed.
Trevino ranked as the worst catching throwing arm in baseball. Time to put wells in every day and see what this kid has already. Trevino just a back up at best. Bad time for the Martian injury as I think with Rizzo down we may have seen judge Wally pipp Rizzo with the Martian in center
