It's good to see you 59, it's been too long!! I'm completely blind in my right eye from a stroke in March 2022 and to make matters worse- with cataracts in my only good eye. My vision is off and has been this way for 2 months. I have to wait two more months to get the one good eye operated on in 2 months. It's going to be a long few months this way. I also had another spinal lumbar discectomy at L3 and L2, last September. Still have yet to go to physical therapy and it's all I can do to walk. Aging really sucks! That being said it's hard to believe that damn Yankees are two and a half games behind Toronto of all teams. Shohei and the Doyers are single-handedly killing baseball with his absurd $750 million contract!!! It really blows as I was hoping to see Max Fried win a Cy Young this year.
How in the world have you been my friend? And Annie I hope she's doing well too. How is your garden going this year lots of okra and roma tomatoes? So tell me old friend what do you think of the Yankees this year anything new? I really have been so out of touch this year with anything baseball. Probably the first year I can remember of not watching baseball every single day.
I've been watching Paul Skenes mowing down the Doyers. The guy is an overpowering strikeout machine if only the Yankees had him. Skenes 6 IP, zero runs and only one hit with a 1.98 era. 8 K's, 0BB...
Yanx' shoddy defense rears its ugly head once again...lucky we only gave up 1 run. ...4-2, good guys in the 6th.
We're all just fine, Matts. Yeah, big garden this summer and set to start my fall garden this weekend. Like I mentioned last night, this team is pretty much the same type roster as we've seen for the last several year. The Yanx beat up on the bottom feeders but get exposed by the better teams. Same in the PS...when facing better pitching in the playoffs, the "HR or bust" approach almost always results in defeat, and likely will again this year. And this is why I still say both Cashman and Boone need to go.
We dodged another bullet that inning...4-3, good guys heading into the eighth inning. Regular season winding down...we really need this game.
Wow, we always seem to make it interesting. But we escape with an 8-4 win....now we get the Jays for a huge series.
