<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Reebok won the latest skirmish in the ever-growing basketball shoe wars Thursday, signing Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets to a multiyear endorsement deal and taking him away from rival Nike.

What's more, the contract opens the door to a largely untapped but potentially lucrative market in China, Yao's homeland, and the rest of Asia for Reebok. Yao's contract with Nike, which he signed while still in China, expired after last season.

I think this is a great move for Reebok and this deal might turn out to be better for Rebook then the Lebron James deal is for Nike. The NBA is turning more international everyday, and it looks like Reebok is going to make sure they are part of it.

    bleh....finally officiall/////

IMHO it was a Bad Choice for Yao..okay choice for reebok.

Yao is a good player but Reeboks shoes are simply crap...

Reebok is hoping to get Asian Sales. That will work. But they won't get alot of NOrth American Sales.(asian sales make up for this). I wanna know where Yao is gonna be put. Is he an ATR player? Certainly his body si but he doesnt play ATR.

reebok should get all the money tat they got to sign hte players and Vacarro and see them make some good performing shoes..
