Yao Ming recently completed his obligation to play for the Chinese National Team yesterday, as he led his team to the Asian championships and a spot in the 2004 Olymipcs in Athens, Greece.

In the championship game, Yao had 30 points and 15 rebounds as China beat South Korea 106-96 in Beijing.

Yao will return home Sunday night and will leave Monday, with the Rockets team as they travel to Portland, Seattle, and Little Rock.

General Manager Carroll Dawson said, "He doesn't look 20 pounds bigger." "He does look like he is filling out upstairs."

A few of the South China players commented on how much Yao has improved his game, after playing in the NBA only one season.

Yao was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament after averaging 22.6 points on 69.3 percent shooting, and 13.1 rebounds in just 25.8 minutes per game.

    Yao, you made us proud!
