Yao Ming did not dress for last nights game against the Portland Trailblazers and he is not expected to play tonight either. Coach Van Gundy has commented that he hopes to get Yao back into the rotation when we play Seattle in Little Rock, Ark. Van Gundy said on this situation, "Coming in late, with two practices, with a back-to-back set, I felt like I wanted to catch him up with his own little practice (Wednesday) with a few other guys to try to get him up to speed and then practice with the team on the 9th to be ready to play on the 10th." I think this was a smart move on Van Gudy's part to bench Yao. Yao hasnt been able to play with the team and get back into the flow of the Rockets offense. A few extra days of rest can do him wonders, after coming off an entire season of playing for the Chinese National Team. On a side note, the Rockets got beat last night in Portland by a score of 104-80. Rasheed Wallace put in 19 points and Zach Randolph added 18 points and 5 boards. The Rockets were led in scoring by Alex Scales with 11 points. Cato, chipping in for Yao, got 9 points and 8 boards.
