Yao's New Book "A Life in 2 Worlds"

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">At just 24 years old, Yao Ming is already one of the most popular and respected players in the NBA. But Yao's road to professional basketball wasn't clear-cut until just a few years before he joined the league. In this excerpt from his new book, "Yao: A Life in Two Worlds" (written by Yao Ming with Ric Bucher), Yao recounts the winding and often humorous road he took from China to the NBA. Here's how Yao and others remember his journey to sports stardom.</div>

Here's an Excerpt from his book and a interview. Be sure to check the book out. [IMG]

I went to Barnes and Nobles, and I was checking this book out. It really talks about a lot, and I was heavily interested, and it looks like a good read. He has a whole chapter to Shaq's chinese remarks, which I thought was interesting. And the fact that he is so humble amazes me. Hope he writes another one about how he won a Championship for the city of Houston [IMG]

Yeah, I was reading some of it at the book store too. One thing that struck me was at one point he says that if he had to choose between playing with the Rockets in the NBA and playing for his national team, he'd choose playing for his country. I don't know how much of that is simply pandering to his Chinese fans, but I think its interesting he'd say that.
