i have an i dea: you all know the line that tells ya where firt down is right? well why not get a hologram of that line on the field? im sick of seein people come up short on 3rd down because they didnt run a long enough route
That is why there is a bright orange marker on the sideline. If a player runs his route short, then that is his fault. They should know better.
i still think itd be a good idea... of course players should run longwer routes, and yea its their fault and blah blah blah but it could also seriously lower the need of bringing the markers out into the middle of the field, and its sometimes needed, but not need tyo use instant replay for that situation, but thats only my opinion
Maybe corporate sponsors could use their logos to mark the pass route too. Come on!! Yes, it is kind of a good idea, but honestly....it is part of the challenge of the game! Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they don't. That's the fun. Let's not make it too easy.
Jeepers guys, next thing maybe we can program the down and distance into the central processing unit in the androids playing the game, and then program the 'droids who are reffing the game to not blow any more calls, and then we can move on to taking care of the automated play calling and eliminate the coaches, quickly followed by the animated fans in the stands.... Wait, that might be going too far. Christ guys, slow down on the Madden and pick up on real life.
Yeah, when the quarterbacks began using electronic devices in their helmets, I thought that was going too far. I also wish they would stop (rant) changing the rules every year. Leave it alone, P Tagliabue, you're as jumpy as Philly Freak.

As long as we are on the subject, how do they put that yellow line on the screen. I know it is a computer, but has anyone read how the did the technology to put the line OVER the grass but not over the players, ball, etc.?
