    The writer must be a conservative Democrat, the same as a Republican. Many, many clues say so, like writing,"no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana)."

    Most of those "promises" are impossible to reach 100% (like getting rid of earmarks), so Obama must have meant them as "goals" to decrease, not "promises" to vanquish 100%.

    Who can forget Reagan blaming Carter in every single speech of his first 6 years, till the Contra scandal finally shut him up.
