I really really like Wesley and Armon too. Man, Armon makes it easy to see just how so-so Jerryd was as a PG.
What the fuck? Am I missing something here? Roy finishes a game with 24/3/6 on 45% shooting and people are disappointed?
He started good, went a little flat mid-game, but was all Roy towards the end. I'm not a great basketball mind by any means, but I thought he was playing off the ball better. I don't mean that in a movement, Rudy kind of way...but more of a catch and shoot way.
just conjecture, but I'd say it was a sarcastic response thread to the "Has Roy Peaked" thread from the preseason. I've been wrong before, though.
Roy's line looks pretty good to me 24 pts, 6 ast, 3 steals, 2 t/o, and 4-6 on 3's. He didn't go to the basket, but he didn't need to the way he was shooting. I'll take that from Roy every night. If he doesn't have to take a bunch of punishment around the rim, that's okay with me - means he has a better shot at staying healthy.
In Mixum's defense, those were about the same numbers as Roy had last year, so technically he isn't getting any better. As was pointed out to him several times however, Roy is an allstar, so peaking at 22/5/5 isn't the worst thing in the world
Miller and Armon make Bayless look like a long range sniper in comparison. Defenses are going to be packing the lane more then past years and this will only increase when Greg is integrated... those perimeter looks are the shots Roy will need to hit to maximize this team's chances. Good thing his offseason training has largely been focused on improving his catch and shoot game eh? STOMP
