It may be the alcohol talking.It may be because I only saw 2 of his games and his highlights on Youtube.But dang...Yi Jianlian looks like the real deal...I don't care what anybody is saying.If I have the #1 overall pick..I at least explore him. I don't think theres any wrong that can come from that. There is no reason to believe that 100% Greg Oden is gonna be the best player int he draft. Same for Durant. Don't always believe the hype. Those kids are great. But Yi Jianlian could be just as good.If the Celtics get him at #5...that surely makes up for fallin out of the top 3, no doubt.

Re: Yi Jianlian #1 baby! Combs, I'm just going to forget this post ever happened. Watching Youtube.com videos of Jianlian playing in tournaments where the best player is Wang ZhiZhi, not the best evaluation.

Re: Yi Jianlian #1 baby! Yi obviously isn't in consideration for #1, Combs had a little too much to drink, but he's such a wild card in this draft. He only is going to play for certain teams. I could see him going 5, I could see him going 9, possibly 8, maybe 10? You just don't know. I can't wait to see where he ends up.

A lot of it is just hype.</div> Yi is a risk and any GM in the league should/would be fired if they took anybody else over Oden or Durant. Also, why would you take Durant over Oden at #1? Because Portland needs a 3 and has Aldridge? No.. you just don't pass up on a franchise center. The last real franchise center like this was Shaq.

Al Horford and Brandan Wright are players above Yi Jianlian as well.....why do you like Jianlian so much? Yi's obviously talented but his biggest competition/rival is a guy who can't even make in the NBA in Wang ZhiZhi.
Re: Yi Jianlian #1 baby! Yeah, I think he's going to be like Yao Ming athletically, but not as talented or genetically gifted. He just looks like he's going to tire out quickly... doesn't necessarily look like a guy that can get free or be agile. Hopefully what I'm saying makes sense to everybody.
