China and Serbia are two of the six teams playing in the 2008 FIBA Diamond Ball for Men in Nanjing, China, which begins today or tomorrow, depending what time zone you are in. This event is the final FIBA preparation tournament for the men's national teams before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Basketball Tournament. It will be televised in much of the world. Good to know, should be interesting to see how they both perform and whether or not it will be any indication to their future as it pertains to the Nets.
This tournament already started. The first two games were Argentina beating Iran, and China beating Angola(the game where Yi scored 11). There are two groups in the tourney, the best team from each group advances to the championship game. If everything goes as planned, China and Argentina will meet in that game. China's next game is against the Andrew Bogut led Aussie team.
