Hackneyed, but I love Stevie Wonder's harmonica solo on "Isn't She Lovely". Really melodic, building on the base lick and then adding layer after layer of improvisation. I can't recall a time I've heard that song when I haven't been whistling or humming that solo 10 minutes later.

Toots thielman in Jazz and Little Walter on blues harp were always a couple of my favorites, but honestly John Popper just blows me away. Popper can do more with his harp, be more creative with his harp, than any other musician I know of.

I'll never forget the first time I heard Blues Traveler. WHFS 99.1 in DC played "But Anyway". I didn't know harmonicas could sound like that.

"All In The Groove" remains my favorite BT track. I see them every July 4th at Red Rocks.

I saw them once in the mid 90's but that's it. I would so love to see them at red rocks. Talk about a joy, mixing a great venue with great music. I have heard a lot "live at red rocks" albums from a ton of bands, and they always seem to have that added bit of majesticness from that local.

Had the immense plasure of meeting Paul Delay and his bandmates in Brown Sugar back in 10th grade when a few of us promoted a fundraiser concert for Bangledesh at LOHS. Unable to waive their fee due to being members of the musician's union they wrote us a check back for the amount, then donated more.

A Tip of The Cap to one of the very best.
