The old adage in hockey is 'shoot the puck at the goal......anything can happen' and it usually does. I wonder how many goals go off your own players and into your net. Last night Johnny Gaudreau, Calgary forward tossed the puck at the goal crease....it ricochets off Doughty's skate and into the Kings' goal. (The Rangers should have been so lucky in the SC finals!) The shot looked harmless, but wow, it goes to show you...from nothing to a goal. Luck is very much part of this crazy sport.
Rangers' first goal vs Washington was one of those lucky goals. Zucc's shot was wide...hits Nash's leg and BINGO.....into the net and a Ranger goal. Ya gotta have luck in this game. Oh yeah.
