okay, who saw Kobe's press conference? You didn't? no worries, go here:

    http://www.nba.com/games/20060423/LALPHX/r...=scoreboardhome

Under first paragraph, click on Press Conference - Play, and fast forward to 16:00 minutes

Now, for the proof that there is definite tension between Kobe and Smush, DESPITE what you want to believe, from Kobe's mouth, and I QUOTE:

"Kwame had a big game, Luke had a big game, Lamar played well, Smush played DECENT" [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

LOL! When I heard that, I was cracking up, Smush missed two critical wide-open three pointers tonight.

I just wanted to post this for all the people who were doing the "HUH?" and "UM OK", and "What are you talking about" when I brought this up a few days ago.

And if you don't think this was a subliminal diss to Smush, then you must not be too bright in the head [IMG]

On a side note, you have to LOVE Kobe's confidence in that press conference. He knows Lakers are winning the series,, and what they have to do differently next game.

"Atleast the Dodgers are winning" LMAO [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I was one of your believer, because I have noticed it, too.

Smush killed us today, especially when he stopped being aggressive. He missed layups, a dunk, and 2 critical threes. Ugh, offseason priority: Point Guard.

Thanks bro. Smush deserves that kind of sh!t, Kobe PASSED up a 3 pointer at the end, when he had a really good look ( I KNOW, HE HAD 4 PEOPLE ON HIM, but he still had a very good look) and he passed that up and gave the ball to Smush who of course is gonna miss, how can you trust your teammates man? seriously? I wish that was Brian Cook in that situation.

Kobe said that sentence so fast it makes you think if he planned on it before hand, there was no hesistation in the sentence.

Kobe is selective with his words, he's very smart about that. You have to pay attention to this kind of stuff. He didn't say "Good" or "Well" or "Great" he used DECENT, ON PURPOSE. I think "Alright" and "Okay" would have been even 'nicer' than "Decent", lol.

Well whatever, not gonna dwell too much on it, just thought it was hilarious.

Phil and Kobe also took a stab at Raja, Kobe in particular said "He didn't particularly have a great night tonight, but I'm sure he'll be back next game"

    lol, ok i'm done.

This is Smush's first playoff game! And Kobe was right, Smush had a
" Descent " game. Can we stop with the negativity plzz? We have to deal with this loss which we could have won untill wednesday and yet you guys bring this Smush did this, Kobe kissed him, Lamar fingered him. I guess you so called Laker fans are counting them out b4 game 2.

1st, learn how to spell "Decent" for christ's sake. I only wrote it like 5 times in my posts. I know you're like 15 years old, but instead of making 20 sigs a day, go read a dictionary.

2nd, Keep the sexual stuff out of this thread "Kobe kissing him", "Lamar fingering him" WhOA, Keep this site PG-13!

3rd, Big deal, it was a few Lakers first REAL playoff appearance, not just Smush, so I don't want to hear it. Whether it's the playoffs or not, MAKE YOUR OPEN SHOTS in critical situations. This is not the first time Smush has missed important shots.

4th, "So-Called Laker fans" Fool, I've been a Laker fan way longer than you, and read my other posts, I already said Lakers are getting passed Suns First round, and have a VERY legit chance at the WCF, so slow your roll.

    Thanks.

Last time I checked I was 3 years older than you. Stop talking about sigs if you cant make one. And your the real fool wasting your time and searching for what the players are doing. How about concentrating on games not Smush loves him, Kobe hates him.

You two need to grow up and quit fighting. Every thread in the Laker forum has turned into a fight these days. You're all on the same side so quit attacking each other.

You're older than me? I mean I'm young too, turning 21 in September, just thought you were 15.

    ANYWAYS, back to the thread.

What are you talking about bro? You never watch press conferences to see what the Coach and Star player have to say?

It's like you come to my threads just to hate on what I have to say, then I have to get personal on you for no reason.

YOU don't think THIS is IMPORTANT? Tension between two of the starting players?

What you think happened with Shaq and Kobe, TENSION, that forced one of them to leave. Yeah their situation was different and they were professionals on the court even though they didn't like each other.

Shaq and Kobe gave high fives all the time buddy, they are the best examples of how two Athletes who hate each other can still be professionals on the court and play together.

Just cuz Kobe gives a high-five to Smush doesn't mean he likes him, they're on a team, so they work together.

So don't make it seem like I'm some drama queen looking for some gossip.

    Later.

Thought we should've kept Tierre Brown....he can run the offense and catch up with pesky defenders...

Smush was definitely out of his element last night. This is his first playoff game, and he didn't play with the intensity needed on either end. He kept settling for 3 point baskets instead of attacking the rim and getting in the paint. The Suns have no one in the paint to block shots, you attack them everytime, and even if you miss, there's a good chance Kwame or Odom is going to clean up your mess.

I kind of agreed with you in the previous thread but in all honesty, I don't really care and I don't think it deserves two threads being made about it. Who cares, its only Smush Parker. Chucky Atkins only had one thread dedicated to him [IMG] Oh yeh and even if Smush would have made that three, it wasn't like we would have one the game or anything. Nobody cares about what Chucky thinks of Kobe and nobody cares about what Smush thinks of Kobe.

I've been watching Tierre Brown in the NBDL, he's playing great. He's breaking peoples ankles down there in Florida.

I dont know about you guys but I actually kind of like Smush, but once we go through this years draft we should draft someone like Rajon Rondo, or Randy Foye or Dee Brown. Someone to come take the reigns at PG but I'd still want to keep Smush to be our 6th man, I love Smush, he was one of my favorite players when he was running in Cleveland but ever since he died down and finally got his second chance in the League he hasnt been the same Smush I saw when I used to love Cleveland.

i like smush. i dont think he hates kobe or anything, i just think his quotes are taken out of proportion. but i still dont think he is starting material. he would be a great point guard off the bench, but he is definetly not starter material

well, smush may hate kobe, but i doubt kobe hates smush. anyone see when in the 4th the suns had a turnover and i think it was lamar who threw the ball long distance to smush, but he didnt catch it. then kobe went up to him and patted him on the shoulder

bro, they are teammates, they're not enemies.

You make it seem because Kobe and Shaq hated each other, that Kobe won't alley-oop it to SHaq anymore in a game, or point to each other after a play or give a high five. After all, it's a team, and they are professionals.

I don't think Kobe HATES Smush. But he senses jealousy, and he's keeping his distance from Smush. I think Smush feels a little envious of KObe and Sasha's relationship.

So i'm sure in the locker room and when they're on the road, everyone is cracking jokes with each other and being friendly, including Kobe and Smush.

Let's just leave this topic alone, cause you guys wanna believe everything is peachy-keen in all basketball teams and all the players are buddy buddy and best friends with each other....unfortunately that's not always the case. (not talking about Kobe and Smush, just in general)
