<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Luke Young is having a medical at Middlesbrough ahead of his proposed move from Charlton.

The two clubs reached an agreement on a ?2.5million fee for the England full-back last Friday, with Boro beating off competition from a number of clubs.

Young has now travelled to the North East to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical before completing the deal.

The 28-year-old is keen to remain in the Premier League following Charlton's relegation last season and will get his wish with Boro.

Gareth Southgate has been desperate to bring in cover at right-back following the departures of Abel Xavier and Stuart Parnaby.

Young should put pen-to-paper on a contract at The Riverside early this week. </div>

Unfortunately a goo sgining for the smoggies, can see them doing well next season, reckon Tuncay will be a real hit for them *spits*

Hopefully we'll have a good season and finish in the top half. Quality signings in Tuncay Sanli, Jeremie Aliadiere and now Luke Young. Apparently we'll be bringing in another one or two people so that'll be pretty good.

We've got a few coming through and we'll give them their chances as we always do just like Cattermole, Taylor and Davies and of course Downing a few years ago. Southgate is a good manager and hopefully after that first season in charge he will have better tactics especially with these new, talented players who we've brought in.

About time Southgate started using his brain in the market. Tuncay, Aliadiere and Young are 3 very good signings that will help 'Boro push back up the league table.

Medical has been passed and Gareth Southgate said that it's just now up to getting the forms in from Charlton, so the deal is as good as done [IMG]

And on a side note, Southgate also said that no clubs have even asked about Yakubu even though the papers are saying that 3 clubs have been after him all summer.
