I just want to clear something up because I am convinced that YOUR youth team is always the best!

I am Newcastle pretty much every time I start a new game, and every single time my u-18's team dominate the league, whether I strengthen them with players or not. But a few times I have been other teams (Liverpool, Man Utd) and the same thing happens with them, I win the league comfortably every time. And when I am one of those teams, Newcastle doesn't do well at all!

I know its got nothing to do with me because I don't do anything whatsoever to help my youth team succeed, so does your youth team always perform so well?? I asked my mate and his do, so I think it must be the game which makes your youngsters better.

I have actually started to take control of my u-18's team, makes the game a lot more interesting, especially if you have some young prodigy's in there.

I can say my youth team is generally the most successful. No matter where I go, once I take over they seem to start winning lots of matches. In terms of quality of players, after scouting other teams, I'm not quite sure.

What I have noticed is that wherever you decide to manage, if you stay there for five or so years that league starts to improve much faster than any others. I think the game really does start favouring your league and/or region by generating better youth.

Example: Playing in Russia right now and three Russian teams made it out of the Champions League group stages for the last two years in a row. Never seen that before I started managing there.

No, I'm playing with West Brom at the moment and my youth team is just pathetic!

I signed some very good young promising players as well, ones I remembered from my previous games. They're all doing well in my reserves, but my reserve and u18 team on the whole are quite poor.

Then again i havent bothered changing the tactics , its controlled by my assistant . just the trainings have been set my me .

The big clubs usually have a good youth setup and my board rejected upgrading my youth setup in the second season, so maybe that's the reason why they're not performing. :/

My Barcelona youth is pretty good as they can bring up good players such as Bojan but most of the decent ones I sell.
