If you had the chance to become your favorite teams GM for an entire week, What moves/changes would you make?

I'd trade Haffa and Giri to Bosnia for a servered arm, and landmine and a pack of cigarettes. I know Im asking a lot of the Bosnians, but I may be willing to include Hiram Fuller in the trade as well.

We'll probably see some crazy trade ideas... but people don't understand how hard it is to make a deal.

Nothing would probabally happen for anybody because I don't think know real GM would take some fan off the streets offer serously but if they did it would be a fun week for that fan.

I think Mavs have a decent roster, moreso just deal with the Barea/Ebi/15th spot issue. I would waive both and look on the waivers in case a player falls off from another camp. Also, look at the veteran options. Two names I would look up and possibly sign is James White(possible chance he's waived), and George Lynch.

I would fire Doc Rivers and try and hire either Rick Adleman, Stan Van Gundy, or see if I could maybe bring Roy Williams over (unlikely).I would try and package Ratliff's (or Wally's) contract, 1-2 young players, Scal, and a pick for a legit All-Star sidekick for Paul Pierce. This really is basically what Ainge has been trying to do all summer, and it hasn't worked, but I would try that as well.If that didn't work, I would try real hard to deal like Ratliff, Tony Allen, Luke Jackson, and a pick for a pretty legit center. That would open up time for Gerald Green and also get us a solid big.

This is an awesome topic and I'm surprised there's only 5 responses here.I would take a close look at Rip Hamilton and wonder if he's the guy I want starting for a Title aspiration team for the style of team I have. I might look at a more game-breaking player like a Ray Allen or a Vince Carter (especially a Ray Allen) and try to make a move for them to bring in a game changing 2 guard.

For me I would re-sign Chauncey Billups to a 3 year extension. I expect him to be a top NBA point guard for at least the next three seasons. Next I would trade Carlos Delfino. He is not a team player and makes complaints about the Pistons organization. He does have some talent so I think that the Pistons could get something good for him.Third I make sure that Jason Maxiell gets a good solid 20 minutes a game in the rotation. He is a good up and coming player for the Pistons and playing time would further develop his game.

It's very hard to give a young player 20 minutes per game when he plays the same position as Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess, the Pistons' two best big men. Not to mention Nazr is a very solid player. I don't see 20 mpg for Maxiell this year.

I agree with PF11, I would trade Carlos Delfino. The Nuggets could be in interest for Delfino, a great shooter. Perhaps for Reggie Evans? Another idea is to the Clippers so that the Pistons could get Zeljiko Rebraca back.

He has publicly stated that he does not want to be there in Detroit, so let him go. I read that Dumars would only allow him to play overseas, but he wouldn't trade him? Why? He doesn't want to be there, so get that negative energy out of there and pon him off to a team that would like to play him a little bit more.

He doesn't want to trade him because he's afraid he could be the next Manu Ginobili. He's doing what the Lions did to Barry Sanders.

Because he already wants out. So what are you going to do, let him "get good" then have the courage to demand a trade? Then you have to deal him, and when you demand a trade that diminishes your value a little. If he doesn't want to be there, deal him for someone who does.

Ditto with the Suns. Maybe I'd sign Tierre Brown to a 10 day just because I like him.

I'd persuade Michael Jordan to return to playing basketball and join the Charlotte Bobcats if I was the Bobcats' GM...NOTE: The Bobcats aren't my fav. team.

If other teams see him as having Manu potential, we need to take advantage of that and ship him off. I personally don't think he has enough heart, passion, and toughness to be compared to Manu but that is just me.

I personally don't think he has much value around the league at all. That also may be a big problem, Dumars over-valuing him.
