Zach Johnson bowed and applauded the gallery at No. 18, thanking them for their support. The applause they returned to him, considering his work here the past four days, was even more deserved. Johnson shot 21-under for the tournament (259), a new record, as he won the Crowne Plaza Invitational tonight at Colonial Country Club. The previous 72-hole mark was 19-under (261) set by Kenny Perry in 2003 and 2005. The 2007 Masters champion, Johnson narrowly tallied another birdie on No. 18, missing the putt by about a foot. He tapped in the par to thunderous applause as the final group of Brian Davis and Bryce Molder came up the 18th fairway. Davis would bogey No. 18 but still was runner-up at 18-under.
