Zach Thomas needs to rediscover his integrity. Barking signals is against the rules in the NFL and he doesn't seem to care.</p> "I tried to make them jump, and they caught me," Thomas said after the game. "I've got to say it not as loud next time."</p> This type of thing really riles me up. It plays right into that "everybody does it" steaming pile of crap. Just because everybody else does it, doesn't mean that you have to do it. It's called having honor and integrity. I thought Zach had that.</p> Cam Cameron and Dom Capers aren't blameless in this. If they know that Zach is barking signals, then they need to tell him to shut up. I want the Dolphins to win, but I can live with the losses as long as they are playing within the rules and setting an example for kids who regard them as their heroes. Championships aren't worth anything if you don't win them the right way.</p> http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/footbal...,0,141802.story</p>
he was penalized for this last season(the 1st time I ever saw anyone penalized for it), so its not like this is the 1st time either....its certainly a black mark on an otherwise steller career....a taint if you will
I know I've been a little OBE and not around much the past couple of weeks, but I've been having a hard time figuring out why the league has made all of these things illegal in the first place. There are some forms of cheating I think are innately obvious, and they ought to be banned, obviously. But I don't see any reason why a team should be able to tape everything about its opponents except its signals, or why an offense should be able to tempt a defense offsides but not vice versa.
I think taping signals should be legal as well....its odd that the offense can shout fake signals but the defense can not....maybe all offenses should have to snap the ball in the same cadence every time....
