<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>- Alonzo Mourning waited 13 years to win his first NBA championship. Now, the Miami Heat center wants to see what defending a title is like. Mourning said late Saturday that he intends to return to the Heat next season. There are still some contract details to be worked out. Mourning has had interest in recent days from several other teams, including the Spurs, but he rebuked that offer and said if he was going to play anywhere, it would be in Miami.</div>This is key for Miami. Zo has a very important role on the Heat. He is able to come in and give Shaq a breather, and go out and play tremendously on the other end.
This sucks. I hate Miami and hope they go down but with Alonzo coming back I don't see that happening.
Alonzo was a HUGE piece for us before he got injured during the season, after that he slowly started falling off. He was big in the playoffs though and continues to be a great defensive presence, plus it's hard finding a good back-up for Shaq, Doleac sucks bad. I hope he comes back and even if he isn't as productive as last season, anything is better then Doleac coming off the bench.
This is great for the Heat! Zo really has helped them tremendously and also with Payton coming back for another year too, I think Miami's pretty much set.
