First, Hi there a little new to this site and pardon my presumptiveness that you would give a shit about my fantasy team, but would really like some independent thoughts on my team.

I made the ridiculous draft pick of Willis McGahee half way through the 3rd round (30th overall). I have been trying to unload McGahee since about 30 seconds after that pick. I finally got a taker -- but I had to give up some good value. Trade was Calvin Johnson and Willis McGahee for Marshawn Lynch and Pierre Thomas. Now my WR's are pretty meh. Questions: Did I give up too much to get Lynch? Who do I start at QB? Driver or Jackson at WR? Do I need to trade for a better WR, or just take my chances? Is Branch going to be a quality starter by about week 6?

Here is my team right now:

    QB: Ben Rothlisberger
    WR: Santonio Holmes
    WR: Donald Driver
    RB: Joseph Addai
    RB: Reggie Bush
    W/R:Marshawn Lynch
    TE: Jeremy Shockey
    BN: Kurt Warner
    BN: Desean Jackson
    BN: Kevin Walter
    BN: Deion Branch
    BN: Matt Cassel
    BN: Anthony Pierre

    K: Adam Vinatieri

    DEF: Pittsburgh

Well certainly at the moment it seems you gave up too much considering how Calvin Johnson is one of the top 5 WR performers in Fantasy football. You already had Addai/Bush, and considering how ESPN leagues devalue RBs a bit you did indeed overpay. By the end of the year it could turn out to be a somewhat even trade though.

Also I'd suggest starting Jackson until Reggie Brown or Kevin Curtis prove that they can nullify his explosive effect on the Eagles. I'm also getting tired of Branch and there's no way anyone knows if he'll be a quality starter by Week 6. My suggestion would be to simply keep an eye on him but don't take any dumb chances.

Thanks for the feedback. I mainly made the trade because I think McGahee is going to be terrible this year. He is probably going to split carries and it looks like Baltimore's offense is absolutely horrible. It's a big gamble to take at week 3, but I wanted to make a move before McGahee gets on the field. I think I will start Jackson over Driver this week.

I'd probably start Jackson too; back to back 100 yard games. With the way McNabb has played too, its looking pretty good that he'll continue to contribute.

I might explore trading Warner to be honest. His value will be high... and I'd def. try to bring in a WR by using Warner + WR to get an upgrade...
