The prior figures I'd heard was $53-54M as the most likely number. Hence, it's likely $2-3M extra. That's pretty good. Basically, the Bulls have the following guys under contract for $31.9M. Add in our first rounder at $1.3M and we're up to $33.2M for 7 players. The cap rules attach cap holds worth the league rookie minimum ($0.47M) for every player you have under $11M. Thats 4 x $0.47M = $1.9M. That brings our cap value to $35.1M. So we will have anywhere from $18M (at a $53.1M cap) to $21M (at $56.1M) in cap space. A max deal will be between $15.9M and $16.8M depending on where the cap falls. So basically, the higher the cap gets, the more extra cap space we've got, which we could use to sign an extra player.
