I'm posting this now just in case you guys want to bitch or make any predictions. Personally I would like to see the Broncos win.

I'd also like to see the Bronco's win if for no other reason then to see Peyton go out on top. But I've got this feeling that that Panthers are going to blow them out.

On a side note I have 5 boxes in the $5,000 pool & one box in the $1,000 pool I hope I win something. Last year I won a grand.

I used to like doing the pools, but never won anything. I know you don't want to hear this Rick but ARod's prediction is Panthers 28 - Broncos 17. :bgrin:

ARod? Then definitely picking the Broncos.

I know Tom, ARod is an idiot but he is funny as hell on Twitter. I still think Peyton can pull it out not that I have anything against the Panthers.

The heart says Broncos. The head says Panthers.

I'll pick my Giants in the year 2025........!

I am with Rick. I want to see the Broncos win and Peyton ride off into the sunset, but I have this bad feeling the Panthers beat them down. Hope I am wrong.

I want the Panthers for Luke Ketchley and Olsen. Cam Newton shows off BUT he CAN back up his enthusiasm and talents. I really wanted my default team: the Cards. I don't think a 49 point blowout will happen but I feel a 10 -14 point victory by the Panthers I have box 7/6 in my pool.

I have 7/3 Panthers & 4/0 Broncos in one of my pools. Good numbers.

Good luck Rick, those are good numbers. Btw is anyone cooking for the Superbowl??? I'm making Taco Calzones. :bgrin:

My local VFW where I'll be normally lays out a feast.

...New York Strips for tonight...and loaded twice baked taters.

What are twice baked potatoes, is that like potato skins???

...nah, and you can do it with baked sweet taters too....pretty simple, just bake the taker like you normally do. (I usually just microwave mine) Then used a spoon to scoop out most of the potato into a bowl, but leave enough still attached to the sides and bottom of the skin so that it will still hold its shape. (kinda like a little boat) Then take your scooped out potato and mix whatever combination of ingredients you want. (cheese, butter, bacon, broccoli, salt, pepper, chives, ...well, you get the idea)...just use your imagination. (for sweet taters, use stuff like raisins, butter, brown sugar, etc,(
...don't mash the potatoes, just mix them in with the other stuff...use the spoon to load everything back into the potato skin "boats". (it will spill over the top by the time you're done but don't worry, stack it as high as you can)....then when your ready to eat, just pop 'em back in the microwave or oven to reheat...and pig out.
...my wife loves them...she calls them "lazy baked taters".

Ok that sounds delicious, I will be over later. :hungry:

...give 'em a try, Lil...there's really no way you can mess them up.

Well, at least he's smart enough not to "expect" a team (5.5 favs) which lost only one game to lose this game.

Imo- two things must happen for Denver to win this game (or even keep it close).
1) Manning needs to have a good game.
2) Denver's defense must put consistent pressure on Newton and come up with a couple of turnovers.

And they need to NOT forget about Newton's running ability.

Sure- no doubt, LBs must contain and cover his escape routes....he's a terrific playmaker.....if I had to choose whether or not I would prefer Newton try and beat me by "running" or being comfortable for the most part in the pocket, I would choose for him to try and beat me by desperatly scrambling and "running".

Breaking news guys, Rick's pal ARod is at the Superbowl. He just posted me a picture of him and NFL Legend Jim Brown on twitter. Hope he is not a jinx. I tell you that bastard is everywhere. :rotfl:

Not everywhere, he's not retired yet.

Good game so far. Now it's time for Beyonce.

BTW I think Rick won the halftime pool. He had Panthers 7/3. :bgrin:
