Game 2 Preview by NBATV

Myself and The HCP Jr. will be at the game. The first time I've sat down and enjoyed an NBA playoff game in person since Game 5 of the 1992 NBA western conference semis between our Blazers and the hated Suns at the MC! Hope we bring some Bueno Suerte with us!

You're letting HCP jr join your halftime act?

As it has been pointed out the Warriors have not lost 2 in a row all season and losing 3 games to the same team would be quite the accomplishment for the Blazers Curry or no Curry. All reports i have to this point which is pretty early (5am) say "Doubtful" on his return tonight. This is a huge opportunity for the Blazers to make a real statement. Get this game and you make them come back here and push these guys to either bring back Curry or play without him. Either way tonight all eyes will be on the Blazers. Last night i watched the Thunder even up their series so i believe that one will go seven games and you can most certainly bet both of those teams are pulling for Portland to continue to play solid basketball.

It's also a bit funny how the interview tones have changed a bit. After game 3 Green said a number of questionable, maybe even disrespectful things about how things went and will go tonight. The "They Feel Good About Themselves" and "We will get the win in game 4" statements not only landed wrong but just reeked of disrespect for the Blazers all around. The Air of superiority act needs to be taken down a notch and i think some of the players or coaches might have got to them. Now you have Thompson saying things like "We got to take this next game because we don't want to come back here". You also have Livingston saying that "they will be hungry and need to get this win". All signs to me that the overall feeling is that this game is indeed important because they know they are simply not supposed to be pushed by a team that was not even supposed to make the playoffs. The Blazers can and will be looking for a big game tonight. I suspect there will be less GS fans sitting courtside.

So there are a couple of things to look at for the Blazers tonight also. Mo Harkless is listed as "Probable" so we will all see how that goes. Hip injuries are a weird thing. Will he have the kind of lift that makes him the threat around the rim? If he can't get rebounds and put backs then he is limited in my opinion. The Blazers need another strong game from Aminu. This guy has played very well in the post season. The couple games he has played big have been good wins for this team. When Aminu has a good game the Blazers win. By good game i don't necessarily mean he has to score 30 points. 15-18 and solid defense with limited turnovers is a great game from that position for the Blazers. Remember he has to guard very tough matches. Got to keep Plumlee out of foul trouble and we they could use a little scoring from him and Davis. Doesn't have to be a lot but those layins have got to go. These things plus Lillard and CJ shooting well will help the Blazers get this thing back to Portland.

Go Blazers!
Kjironman is a fan!!!

Still fuming about that Game 2, we could have been looking at possible 3-1 lead going into tonight's game as I believe Game 3 would have been won regardless. Much less pressure on Blazers in that scenario although I'd not expect players to be feeling a huge amount of pressure considering they'd never been expected to even feature in this round.

Really reckon a win is possible. Thompson and Green both had great performances in Game 3 and they still lost, if Blazers can play a similar game to the previous one they ought to be fine. It's not like Game 3 was one purely because Warriors played poorly or anything, it was a fair and square win over Warriors at their best in their current line up (small inputs from Barnes and Iguodala are not something I consider extra-ordinary these days, they've not been relied on to produce for 90% of season).

Awesome man! Hopefully all your years of hard work (mowing) and dedication will be rewarded with a Blazer win!!!

Gonna be 4:30 AM here when it starts and I need to get going to work at 8 AM so not planning on getting too much sleep. The last one was at 2:30 which is probably even worse but at least it was the weekend!
