Can we talk about how good the second season is? I know that it hasn't been out long, so some people haven't had a chance to binge it. I will not purposefully post spoilers, but I really want to talk about it. Ok, one spoiler, and it's nothing big, but I legitimately teared up at the end when Nancy swooped in and danced with Dustin. Sorry for the spoiler. Not a major plot point.

I loved it!

The 11-centric episode was cool, but seemed out of place. Interesting to know others are out there. I wonder if they will come in to play in future seasons, or if the episode was just to show character growth for 11.

Also, love the Season 2 Steve! I remember some Senior guys hanging out with me when I was a Freshman. It means a ton to young guys growing up, so to see Steve and Dustin hanging out was cool.

HOLD THE FUCK UP

are we not gonna talk about how episode 7 was pointless though?

so out of place, hated the episode though I understand it was done for character development, it felt rushed and the whole eleven in the city thing was fucking odd. Other than that, obviously loved the show because good show is good show

Definitely out of place, but my guess is it will provide some plot lines for future seasons.

Are we not gonna talk about one of the older kids is british and was just busted for cocaine so he can't work/act in the US anymore?

Gotta say I'm not as grabbed by it as last season's. Seems a bit same-y.

The clue was he mentioned The Smiths last season, when no kid in Indiana in 1983 would've heard of them.
(The clue he's British, not that he's a cocaine user.)
I learned about his bust when some LA resident on Twitter tweeted: "Dude - we have tons of cocaine here - you didn't have to bring your own."

They should replace the kid with a new character, super friendly uncle! Kevin Spacey would be a great choice.

or the fact that actors voice is so different than his American accent he puts on for the show. Was crazy when I listened to it on that after show. We are talking Netflix here and Stranger things is their fucking baby, they will find a way to get that kid back into the country for season 3. Name your price, they will match it.

I read that Netflix actually wanted to have the Duffer brothers film season 3 and 4 back to back so that the kids didn't age too much between seasons. Duffer brothers sees this going 4 seasons but Netflix will try to milk this shit, throw ridiculous amounts at the Duffer brothers to continue, then watch us get some spin off show after

IMDB lists the show as going for 5 seasons.

If you want to see something crazy check out James Cameron's IMDB - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000116/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Avatar part 2 thru 5 is all being filmed at the same time. Considering that Cameron doesn't do anything on the cheap this must be costing 10s of billions of dollars.

I think I did look at that one time because I was wondering when the fuck the 2nd one will come out because it's been talked about forever. Yeah that's a lot of money. I honestly didn't care for the first one though honestly

I liked the first one, very original, amazing special effects. But it's going to need a lot more than that to carry that franchise for 4 more movies.

So the kids assumed if they killed the mind flayer/shadow monster that Will would die if the virus hadn't left him yet. So they get Will all hot and the virus leaves him, where did it go? Does it matter? Maybe it just dies off being disconnected. And now the gate is closed with the Shadow Monster still in the upside down. With that said, what would have happened if the virus remained in Will, but 11 closed the gate? Would the Shadow Monster still have been able to control Will?

Avatar is amazing in that it's the highest-grossing movie of all time without anyone particularly liking it or remembering anything about the plot. It only succeeded because it did great 3D when people cared about 3D. But then Cameron's been written off every time, so maybe these sequels will be huge successes...

Which one?

Yeah, I was hoping they'd bring it up a level. It is just as good as the first season. Really enjoying it. Have 2 more episodes to go.

I am enjoying Paul Reiser reprising his "slimy scientist-type" from Aliens 30-odd years later. I am NOT enjoying the cartoonish LA douchebag (Billy?) who looks about 30.

I don't care for paul reisers character. I was hoping Billy was going to be something more than just an asshole...but no hes just an asshole

Spoiler......

There's a dead dog in the freezer too.
