I don't think this would work. He'd take shots away from guys like Aminu and Harkless.

I'd get season tickets. One of my close friends is a huge LeBron (Cleveland) fan and a Portland fan. He wants him to go to Portland so bad.

I think love is more realistic if lebron leaves. Not sure how though, god i wish the league would have an amniesty clause one more time!

Ahhh, I don't like the idea of him. Somebody like Ilyasova is nearly as valuable as him (better defender, can score on all 3 levels efficiently) and would be much cheaper, healthier, and possibly better in the locker room, and wouldn't require a ton of assets to get. (MLE?)

If Lebron came to Portland I'd never be able to get into the building tickets would be so hot.

It would be a great business decision to come to Portland, it gives Lebron the ability to focus on building and expanding his product line with Nike. Jordan earned enough to buy an NBA franchise with the money he earns.

Lebron has no intentions on going to a team who has to dump one of their few good players to get him.
He will go to a team who has a roster who can help him compete. cJ ain't going to Cleveland.

Even if we agree on 'fit', the Lakers will have room to ad two very large contracts this summer while Portland will be fighting the Luxury Tax. Just don't see it happening unless LeBron ABSOLUTELY wanted to come here for either very little money or somehow convinced CLE of a S&T in which they take back some bad contracts. Seems unlikely.

We're not talking likeliness were talking about best fit that could actually be possible. Blazers with LeBron is better than the Lakers with LeBron and PG.

I would have to take a hiatus from Blazers fandom if they signed him.

I think we have a good chance at getting Leonard this summer.

    We already have Leonard. :devilwink:

Seriously - Why do you think we'd have a chance at Kawhi? I'd love it, but I don't think spurs trade him.

Lol exactly. Since we won’t have cap space we couldn’t even have a Chris Paul scenario where he theoretically forces his way to Portland. Cleveland’s not going to take on Evan Turner or any of our other shit contracts. The pick it comes with isn’t worth the financial commitment.

Huh? Chris Paul opted in and got his contract traded. All we'd have to do would be to get close enough in terms of outgoinging and incoming salary.. cap doesn't play a factor.

We could also sign-and-trade for him, which is more tricky but possible.

The only way Lebron comes to Portland is if he wants to play with Lillard.

I think our current roster minus CJ is still a better option than Cleveland for Lebron.

It’s not a better option than Houston though.
