Pelicans vs Warriors on Saturday. Still waiting for the other matchups to unfold. Philly-Boston? Toronto-Cleveland? Houston-Utah? Time will tell.

Anyone else excited about the game tonight?? Go Pelicans!! Predictions for this series and Houston/Utah?

Unfortunately, I predict this will be short and not sweet for the Pelicans. They are a one trick team that had the magic formula to neutralize Dame and slay the Blazers. As good as AD is, I doubt he gets much help in this one. Holiday is bound to regress to norm with Klay draped all over him, and Mirotic will find Green to be tougher than what the Blazers threw at him. It will be interesting to see how the Pelicans approach defending Durant. Put AD on him and leave the paint unprotected? Doesn’t sound like a recipe for success to me.

The Davis/Mirotic front court killed us, but against the Warriors, I don't see it working. Durant will kill them.

Look at that cut by Thompson... Why don't we do that, ever?

Interesting. Warriors started Nick Young instead of McGee and they're putting Durant on Holiday, not Davis.

That Rondo alley-oop for the Davis dunk was nasty!

A sweep of the Dubs would make the Blazer loss easier to handle.

What are you talking about? He averaged the near 4 assists with Stotts coaching him! Stotts coached Nurk to his best game ever: 28/20/8/6 vs Philly.
He had just started playing under Stotts, so Stotts hadn't molded him as a player yet.

Pelicans have kept this closer than I thought they would. But I don't think they can play much better than they are, whereas the Warriors can play a lot better.

NOLA has Mirotic guarding Durant. I would just clear out a side, and get Durant to drive at him. I get the feeling that that kind of iso game goes too far against the Warriors principals to attempt, and they will just back their regular game.

Durant is posting up Mirotic. I think Mirotic is far more comfortable with that, than he would be with Durant driving at him.

Green is the Warriors MVP. He's not their best player, but he has the least replaceable skill set. Who else in the league can do what he does, the way he does? James, who else?

It's amazing how the Warriors can just flip a switch and go on one of these Super-Saiyan runs. Like seriously, holy shit.
