Blazers won the Nets game, but lost Nurkic. That's a terrible exchange.

Blazers have clinched the Playoffs, but a first round exit as well, I suppose.

Being a Blazers fan is just not fair.

and the answer to the poll should be collins.

great work as always on the gamethread Darkwebs but I think I speak for at least some when I say who cares at this point. :/

Definitely, the air has been let out of the balloon. What little hope for the season I had before has now been squashed.

Also did Stotts already announce Kanter is starting or just your prediction Darkwebs?

I'm somewhere between Denial and Anger. With a lot of Depression thrown in.

I honestly might take a break from watching. I need time. Seems like this would be a good "let it go" game.

I totally agree. Blazers are the last thing I’ll be watching nowadays, I hate that ends like this but it’s just too hard to win the NBA with no help.

I’m looking forward to try again next year

You can't even look forward to trying next year - we didn't just lose this playoff run, we've likely lost the whole next season. That's the worst part about this - I could suck it up for a month, but knowing that we're back to being hopeless all next winter really, really sucks.

Yeah, lets all just give up and not support our favorite team while they deal with this!

It's okay to be upset and disappointed that the season isn't going to end well and I get if you need a game or two break but fuck anyone who stops following the team this year because of this. The players have to play tomorrow without both Nurk and CJ. These guys need and deserve our support.

Not sure what Stotts will do. I would love to see him think long term and play Zack, Skal, Trent and Simons. But, Dame is a warrior, and will want to try and win every game this year. Terry will likely respect and support that, which likely means Ennis in the starter spot and the rooks on the bench. I can't blame him for supporting Dame if that's the way it plays out. In reality, there aren't that many more games left where it would make a big difference anyway.

I care. :bgrin:

I will go down to the very last second rooting this team on. There is still lots of experience to be gained and fighting a tough battle can make us tougher in the long run. I will apply a Portland Timbers motto. No Pity jn the Rose City. We battle on to the end.

We are Spartacus

I was ready to not watch a single game the rest of the year, but when I think of Dame and his squad they've put in too much effort and heart for us to give up on them.

Dont get me wrong, Im going to catch the games when I can (basically when im not working) like I always do, but it just feels like theres a hole in my heart after that gut wrenching injury for Nurk. I know Dame and the guys won't give up and will play there asses off, but its hard knowing that we just lost 2 out of our 3 best players fighting against a tough conference in the playoffs with one of those teams being the Monstars.

Wouldn't it be epic if Collins, Kanter and Biebs could step up and win one for Nurkic? I would be as surprised as anyone if this happens, but it would be great. I would be just has happy to see Collins take that big leap and become what many of us believe he could be.

I don't believe Zach will be the player that many of you believe he can be, but I'd be very happy if I was wrong. For the rest of the season, I'd be real happy with some consistency, and for him to cut way down on the stupid fouls

none of these guys can replace Nurk on defense, but maybe the three of them (four with Skal?) can morph into a poor-man's Nurkic on offense. Certainly, Kanter can replace paint production and offensive rebounding while Meyers can stretch the floor. Zach can hustle on offense and offer some rim protection. It will be up to Dame to orchestrate this but he's got broad little shoulders

Things could turn around with CJ/Zach trade for AD.

I think I'm on the opposite side of the general stance taken in this thread. I want to watch this game even more than usual. I want to see how we react, what changes we make, the overall vibe.

Yes, last night was like a punch to the gut. I've been to all of the heartbreaks over the last decade. Rudy, Oden, Wes, Nurk....I even saw Mutombo go down and retire. All of the minor setbacks that other players have suffered, too. You guys have either seen it at the games with me or on TV. You know what else we've seen? Some inspiring, ballsy, underdog performances that I'll never forget. The comebacks. The career-highs. The game-winners.

The recovery starts now. I'm with this team until we're eliminated, and I don't think we're going to just roll over and submit.

Play to win until we lose.

Ill be watching and cheering like I always would. Theres a heaviness to the season, and expectations kind of got wrecked. I can completely understand people who need to take a small break.

Or big break. No Pun Intended. :( All that matters now is Nurk gets back above 100.

With the injury to Nurkic it has gone by the wayside on the status of Lillard. Not only did he hurt his knee. He was not even used in the last minute of the game against the Nets. He was on the court but was not moving well at all. Wondering how he is right about now also.

No need to hold a knife to your our sports throats. Keep on KEEPIN on. For shock and depression fans, wait until the last game of the playoffs instead. Right Now, I'm between Anger and Bargaining. Within the week, I'll be at Testing* level.
