You took it correctly as was the response to that shooting off in question in here.
I think I even met the guy that I presume Marzy is speaking of but I can't recall his name. I took it as his anger boiling over that really didn't amount to a hill of beans. Not something I would ever say but not something to be taken seriously.
I can understand Marzy's anger but I can't understand how he took it seriously.

It was pretty damn simply as to why. The Sheriff, the OSP and the Marion County DA said I needed to take it seriously. It seemed like a wise precaution.

    We don't know that. :tsktsk:

Maybe the guy burned down somebody's boat and raped somebody's wife thinking they were MarAzul's, but th guy had just got off working a 16 hour shift and parked at the 4th pier by accident instead of the 3rd pier where MarAzul was docked and... :dunno:

Warren brought down the house at LGBTQ forum when asked, suppose someone says to you "I'm traditional and my religion says marriage is between one man and one woman". Her reply is she'll assume questioner is a guy and if he thinks marriage is between one man and one woman, great, marry one woman, she's fine with that ... if you can find one.

It really isnt that hard for a politician to go into a setting like this and talk to a group of people and say things that they like though. Trump does it all the time at his rally’s and its been done by probably every politician thats ever gotten anywhere. The real trick will be can her and others say stuff to a broader audience that brings them in to vote for them.

Edit: Its akin to the “preaching to the choir”, saying.

Though, honestly Im not sure it matters, I think there is a good chance that whoever wins the Democratic Nomination will win as more of a vote against Trump then a vote for them.

That is assuming that the Democrats cant get support to Impeach before the election. Maybe they can and that’d be nice!

That was the perfect comeback as she did it with class and got her message across. trump would have bumbled through it and would have made so nasty remark regarding the LGBTQ

I haven't "heard" what she said, just read it and I think reading it in my head I didn't like the way she ended it. In my mind it seemed to be implying that only men would ask that question or feel that way, and that would probably find it hard to find someone to have a relationship with... However, if I can find it to listen too maybe inflection and the way she said it, wasn't implying that at all. I don't know. In general, though, what she said is how I feel about the subject. When it was to vote on Gay Marriage in Oregon I was in support of that which really pissed off the more traditional people in my family (oddly enough mostly women), but I feel like this is a country that proclaims all people should be treated equally, all lifestyles and religions and if they want to get married at least in the way that the government defines marriage then they should be able to do that and afforded the same rights as everyone else. If a religion says that in order to be married by THEM then they're free to do so IMO, but the government should not be telling people what kind of lifestyles they should have in terms of their personal decisions.

So that definitely kind of reinforced my original thoughts on it. Alas, it's not a big deal though. Like I said above I mostly agree with her take on it. I just don't know why she feels she needs to be snide about it.

snide? It was spot on. What she was saying is, if the man's beliefs from his church say a man should only marry a woman then that man should only marry one woman. The little comment at the end was said mainly in jest as it wasn't directed at any one person.

fair enough, the way my brain took that was a bit of, "oh you probably can't find one", but like I said it wasn't a big deal. I basically agree with her.
