Mike Bloomberg 'is considering picking Hillary Clinton as his running mate in the 2020 Democratic race to help take on Trump'
  • Mike Bloomberg is considering Hillary Clinton as his running mate, source says
  • Polling found the Bloomberg-Clinton combination would be a formidable force to take on Trump in the race for the White House
  • Bloomberg is said to be considering changing his official residence because the electoral college makes it tough for president and VP to reside in the same state
  • 'We are focused on the primary and the debate, not VP speculation,' Bloomberg's campaign has said

I will wait to see what actually happens. Though, picking a corrupt Clinton as your VP, when Hillary couldn't even beat Trump in her own presidential race, seems like campaign suicide. A republicans wet dream ticket.

Seems highly unlikely. Apparently this originally came from Drudge Report, so a few million pounds of salt are advised.

It’s mind boggling how out of touch someone would have to be to even consider this as plausible. Hillary Clinton is political kryptonite, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bloomberg’s campaign gets wrecked (fingers crossed) for even suggesting this.

All Drudge Report is is an aggregate site, they don’t produce their own content. A bunch of their links are to left leaning websites, they just add a catchy headline to the link. I always laugh when people try to discredit Drudge because it is literally just links to what are probably some of their favorite websites.

Kind of makes me think he's a Trump plant, only in there to divide the vote.

It's too much like a TV show plot. A bad one at that.

Maybe you missed this line in the link

" a source close to his campaign has told Drudge Report"

I doubt if there is much accuracy to the story, but it appears it was reported to Drudge Report, not a link from another site like you stated. Much of their stuff is links, but in this case it appears directly from the Drudge Report.

What will be interesting is to see if Bloomberg does what he claimed when he first got in and that was to financially support the democratic candidate if it isn't him.

Mildly surprised that Bloomberg didn't say he'd pick Tulsi Gabbard as his VP choice. She seems better aligned with his worldview than Clinton.

Plus, the campaign slogan writes itself: "Bloomberg/Gabbard--the superior Republican ticket"

I'm not putting a lot of stock into him saying he would choose Clinton though as his campaign denied it (which also doesn't mean a lot, but)

Agreed...I mean, if you really think about it, how in hell would Hillary fucking Clinton help Bloomberg?

She's the main reason that Trump is in The White House now.

Seems like there is going to be quite a fight over who gets Tulsi. Fox News, now Bloomberg, also today there is a report that Bernie might choose her, and of course there is the most obvious match, Trump.

Meanwhile. Bill's drooling about the potential of 100 rounds of golf per year.

Why would she accept? Seems more likely she would tell him to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

I'd rather have Biden than Bloomberg.

Voted today for Elizabeth Warren.

'Cepting, she's a power whore. She might think SHE's the ticket to pushing Bloomberg to the nomination. One step closer to the position she's drooled over since she was a teen.

She’d have Bloomers whacked within months after his Inauguration Day, if by some chance that snowball rolled through hell unscathed.

Yeah, it must be Bloomberg’s staunch anti-war platform that led you to this conclusion. Lol. It’s funny how many Democrats morally posture about trying to appeal to conservative voters, then when a Democrat like Gabbard actually manages to do so, the same people all shit their pants and cry because she’s not in the establishment clique. Tulsi Gabbard is infinitely better than either of those two corrupt clowns. Bloomberg and Hillary are two rotten peas in a pod and neither of them will ever be president. Bloomberg is responsible for imprisoning countless minorities through flawed policies and fake ass white liberal dipshits don’t even attempt to give a fuck. Anyone who even considers Bloomberg, or Hillary for that matter, as a viable candidate should not be taken seriously.

You can't possibly mean me in that. I've been the one saying that you win by being better at turning out your base than the other party, so there's no point compromising your ideals (in terms of your platform, at least) in the fruitless attempt to win over supposed "undecideds" or people from the other party. That might have been viable once, but not in today's deeply-entrenched and polarized American society.

I was referencing the completely ridiculous notion that Bloomberg and Tulsi have anything in common whatsoever. It’s just a dumb smear tactic parroted from the corporate media who are funded by the same entities as pieces of shit like Michael Bloomberg and Hillary Clinton.

I've never heard anyone compare the two, it was just a tongue-in-cheek pairing by me of two right-of-center Democrats. I'll cede to you your point that they're right of center in different ways but I was unaware of this massive smear campaign of Bloomberg and Gabbard, so please believe me that I'm not "in on it."

There is no media smear campaign against Bloomberg. He is an establishment clown who will tow the line. Military contractors, big pharma and insurance companies would be happy to have him fumbling his way through a presidency.

It’s funny how democrats are republicans now.
Maybe its too much listening to the vocal
minority, but what I think it really is that the “extremes” of both sides have gotten larger then they ever have been, and they seem to have a you do it our way or your out mentality. Were seeing a lot of that with Dems and Bernie supporters right now, they seem to hate other “dems” who arent as extreme as they are in a similar manner they hate the extreme right. -Hate is probably not the right word but Im tired - The right has been that way for a while too, you dont kiss and bow to whatever the heck Trumps doing and many of them basically just say oh you’re a liberal! One of the issues IMO of a two party system in such a large country is that Dems and Republicans try to encompass so many different things they cant even get along within their own.

Well, at least we agree that Bloomberg would make a terrible, corporatist President.

There is no difference between a moderate Democrat and a Republican. They are the same thing. That’s why Bernie supporters and more hard-lined progressives shit all over moderate Democrats all the time. I wouldn’t consider myself as a leftist by any means and even I can see the same hypocrisies the Bernie people are pointing out. Moderate Democrats are just trying to skate by on meaningless ideological platforms while still being able to tow the fiscally corrupt establishment line. It’s just fake bullshit.
