Kanye West has announced that he's running for president of the United States, with just four months until election day.

The 21-time Grammy winner celebrated Independence Day with the announcement on Twitter, which was met with mixed reactions.

He wrote: 'We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION'

No. He won't even make it onto the ballot for most states, is my guess. It takes a great deal of effort in every state--it's extremely difficult to make it as an independent. I imagine they'd focus on battleground states if the idea is just to help Trump, but he's already missed the Texas deadline (which, unfortunately for Trump, is a battleground state this cycle) and collecting enough signatures to meet the July and August deadlines will be a feat.

Even on ballots he might make, I don't think he'll get enough traction to change the outcome in any state.
