Who said anything about building around a center?

He definitely was a center. I think it could be done still but the C needs to be able to hit his free throws and teams need to be willing to feed the C down low. The fact is if the C only has a face up game, depends on lobs and can't get his on his own inside then of course you can't do it. Make no mistake about it, if coached correctly with the right guys around him Embiid can win a title being the number one option.

    Me.

Isn’t that what Philly is doing?

So they should instead build around a PG that cannot even hit free throws? Not much of a dilemma if I'm Philly. This is the card they were dealt. Embiid and Jokic can be fine no.1 options if guys around them are good fit.

I just had a look at Tobias Harris' contract. He's owed 20 more mill than CJ over the next 4 yrs. that contract is insane for the kind of production you get from him.

That's why I think CJ for Harris might happen. I don't think Philly is ready to give up on Simmons yet. I think CJ/Simmons/Embiid could be a really good combo.

It's a bad contract for a bad contract. I think our options are limited.

I still maintain that CJs contract is in line with his status in the league. Tobias is overpaid.

I would prefer to get Middleton. He's a much better fit. But I'm not sure that deal would ever be on the table.

I still think it's going to be CJ to NY and young talent to somewhere else. I would like to see Ingram or Siakam.

I keep falling back on that one as well, CJ to NY, Toppin, Knox and a pick or two somewhere, and someone to us.

But he would fit the Blazers team vary nicely! Even in a D'Antoni system. LoL...

I would LOVE Siakam for CJ. Prefer him to Ingraham.

Only downside to Siakam is that he's hurt. Probably will miss the start of the season.

The C and backup PG we’ve been looking for? They’re both good defenders. To make money work, we’d have to trade CJ and Nurk.

    Dame/Bledsoe
    Powell/Elleby
    Covington/Little
    Collins/Covington
    Adams/Collins

    That’s a major upgrade on D.

please take the apostrophe out of the title

I don't really mind that, we'll just start DJ until Siakam is healthy like six weeks into the season. I'm almost positive DJ will opt in whether he likes it or not, he's just not going to get the kind of money we're giving him elsewhere.

It’s worse than Can’t shoot. It’s Won’t shoot. I wouldn’t want him on our team. He’s simply too flawed of a player.
