  • Saturday's game is the first of 4 matchups between the Trail Blazers and Suns this season. The teams play again in Phoenix on November 10th, in Portland on December 14th, and in Phoenix on March 2nd.
  • Last Season: The Suns swept the Blazers during the 2020-21 3-0
  • Damian Lillard averaged 31.6 points (54% FG, 29% 3-PT, 90% FT) 4 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1 steal in 3 games against the Suns last season. In his last game against the Suns Lillard recorded 41 Pts, 7R, 8A, and 2Stls
  • CJ McCollum was injured (Fractured Foot) and did not play against the Suns last season.
  • Devin Booker averaged 29 points ( 52% FG, 53% 3-PT, 100% FT) 4.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in three games against Portland last season.
  • Chris Paul averaged 15.6 points (28% FT, 50% 3-PT, 100% FT) 2.6 rebounds, and 7.6 assists in three games against Portland last season.
  • CONNECTION: Suns Head Coach Monty Williams was Portland's Assistant Coach from 2005 - 10
  • The Phoenix Suns defeated the Trail Blazers 119 - 74 in the preseason on October 13th, 2021.
  • HEAD TO HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Suns lead 125 -108

1) nice thread, Chris!
2) I chose Zeller because, even though I have been telling people that he is a starting quality center, it was really nice to see that in action.
3) minor nit pick - if possible, the player photos should be side-by-side so they don't take up so much vertical space.

this will be first big test of the Blazers. They've already failed a smaller test against the Kings

The Kings were the only team last year that had a worse defense than Portland. Phoenix had a defense that was 6 points better than the Kings. And not only did the Blazers go 0-3 against the Suns, they lost the games by an average of 13 points. It was a mismatch

Chose Ant because only one option but id also say Nas and Zeller.

Now wth Chris????

no contest? Just gonna be a king slayer and take over huh?

damn monarchys….

Oky. This is a good game thread though. There is some promise we wont have lottery style game threads in DW’s absence…

If anyone else wants to post a game thread they can. I'm open to a contest. This is my entry.

Bones or HCP or anyone else is welcome

Good effort in popping your thread cherry @Chris Craig. Blazers need to bounce back and show more hustle and intestinal fortitude for the whole game rather than the frantic 6 minutes that was the case so often last season.

Nice CC, but it's a wasted opportunity with the F1 x NBA liveries.

Could have used this for the Suns:

and since they did not do the Blazers one, could have used this one insteead:

or if you are very disappointed in the Blazers so far this year, this one:

Not bad CC...didn't care for the layout of the bench players though...I'd have grouped them horizontally ..it's a long scroll to get to the posts...still not too shabby! Go Blazers! Also...get Harrison Barnes out of the poll....he's sucking votes from Blazers!

Not really. There are going to be games that will be tape delayed (In Washington and Alaska), but this is not one of them.
Love how much everybody cares so much about our Alaska viewers.....WHO CAN NOW SEE THE BLAZERS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! Where was the worry the last 52 seasons?

Unfortunately another loss here. I don’t really see a win for awhile. Probably not until the Cleveland game
