Simmons specifically said he will only play in New York. Its a direct quote I made up, just like that Golden State Newspaper guy, and it’s one I will just repeat ad nauseum Josef Goebbels style until it takes deep root in the collective conscious. Truth is irrelevant. Narrative is all.

I don’t wanna say he’s faking it, but he’s faking it.

sure...but he's likely doing enough that Philly can't get out of paying him

if he ever does appear in a game, in Philly, that will be must watch TV

Right now Philly could easily get Russ Westbrook for him ...Russ isn't working out as a third or fourth option in LA. Russ would play better with Embiid than with AD and Lebron

I'd still give CJ for him. They can take Roco too.

If there’s any type of guy you want to trade for and make one of your centerpieces, it’s a guy who needs mental health help but won’t accept it and won’t talk to his teammates and isn’t coachable. Sign me up

Metal health is an important issue in the world but it feels a little too convenient for Simmons. More of a way to keep his $$ and bide his time until he finds a new address.

Completely. Just a way to hold out and still get paid. He will most likely make a miraculous recovery after he is traded due to the "positive environment and team support" in whatever city he ends up in.

Khawi's, SA saga wasn't exactly example of professionalism and healthy relationships as well.
To be more specific, this situation looks exactly like the other one.

I don’t think this would be true. I think Dame will actually be able to score less! Dame / Powell / Simmons / RoCo / Nurkic = more balanced scoring during the regular season. Things will lean more toward Dame come playoff time. Norm’s average will increase and with Simmons, Nurk’s scoring may rise. I still think we need a starting PF with RoCo coming off the bench. One realistic solution to this is for Nance to start and RoCo coming off the bench.

Along with 54 wins, my prediction of Dame's avr was 24points (if I remember correctly). And I think it could work.
But it is Dame, that keeps talking about being MVP and he's not gonna with 24.
Btw, I would like him to pick MVP and all-star moaning or Finals. Finals should go first.

In Curry’s first MVP season, he averaged 23.8 ppg. Truth.

    1. However, with the Boston situation going on right now, I wonder if it would be better to stay the course and maybe McCollum/Covington/1st gets you Brown and another piece or filler down the line if things don’t work out. There would be less skepticism chemistry-wise about Dame/Powell/Brown/Nance/Nurkic than the same lineup with Simmons.

I'd give them a lottery protected first rounder. RoCo might not be productive in this new offense yet but his efficiency is still there as a 3 and D guy. So getting CJ and RoCo should be just about enough for the Sixers. I feel like they may have discussed this in the past since I read from Quick or one of our other reporters that we're only interested in doing a one for one deal if it's CJ for Ben. I think CJ, RoCo and our 2024 first rounder would get it done and possibly just CJ and RoCo.

I love it but there is almost a zero % chance Boston gives up a young all star in Brown for anything we have.

If Brown really were available, I think a Brown-Simmons swap is the obvious trade...
