Same could be said about every other post up these days... are you looking to play a very selective game of gotcha? Maybe there is a good reason that we haven't heard the sorts of glass half full comments about the talent in this year's draft class in some time... whatever could that reason be? What I generally see is that the 2024 prospects who can shoot aren't athletic while the athletes have broken jump shots and are major projects. As far as the top 7 comment, maybe Sarr and/or Risacher crack the top 9 in the last draft but thats about it. STOMP
No Gotcha at all. It’s just that some are saying it a little too often and maybe with more absolute certainty than I would. All too many times a player is defined by his attitude rather than his ability in a tryout.
Oh that’s right….. that’s what I said right? All I said was THIS draft is shit and shouldn’t be over hyped. That’s all. There’s a reason EVERY respected mock is completely different. No player talented enough to stand out….not even at #1! The way Scoot took heat this season, these rookies won’t have to worry about that….they won’t play.
Well, let's take a look... Hmm...the guy listed all stars from each and every one of the past 27 drafts, and you replied "these drafts were loaded". So...yeah, that's exactly what you said.
Now it seems there is a record of it and people will actually repost what you said and make you see your own buffoonery?
No gotcha, then whats going to come back to bite him? I doubt he'll spend a down moment on his own if this draft turns out to be a bonanza. Every time I check in on this thread it seems there is growing optimism about an ever expanding list of players many of which are apparently going to become regular All Stars now. There is nothing wrong with countering this little community's optimism about the draft with the overwhelming opinion of it overall. STOMP
From everything I see yes this draft is poor at best. I’m interested in what they will do. Next years draft seems better. I’m also interested in what happens then. I’m going to wait it out and hope the Blazers can find a player that fits and will work out for them. I feel if they do their homework and make a couple good picks they could very well do that.
And I think you used it in the right context. Bonus point for spelling it correctly...as far as I know.
I will note that Ingram has a +7 wingspan and appears to be built like a linebacker, and Johnson had a 42" max-vert and the biggest non-Edey hands at the combine.
All appear to be second rounders or possible undrafted. 19 years old Ajnca 3 and D SF, lots of energy , might go early second round Christie, 18, 6'5" SG, mocked by Givony to Blazers second round, first pick Thierry, only 18, was injured some and didn't do much in G league but then went to Basketball without Borders and "Darlan and fellow NBA Academy Africa product Maluach - the projected third pick in the 2025 draft who has signed for Duke - went back and forth in a riveting battle. Maluach posted 29 points and 11 rebounds, but it was Darlan's Bangui who won 101-88 and the homegrown hero contributed 22 points and 10 rebounds." Hall probably goes undrafted Ingram, 21 "uses his seven-foot wingspan and defensive instincts to create havoc defensively. He’s both a high-level on-ball stopper and a high-IQ player who perfectly plays the passing lanes as evidenced by his 1.4 steals per game. Ingram pairs his defense with elite rebounding; he averaged 8.8 rebounds at UNC." Weaker on offense. Johnson, 23, strong defensively 6'7" wing
