I’ve never understood a sport where you can only use 50% of their body. It should be primarily a Paralympic's game.
Yep. That's college, folks. School is crazy expensive. People talking like the goal of HS sports shouldn't be getting scholarships aren't all wrong, but no joke, it should definitely be one of the goals if your kid is thinking about college. And it doesn't usually just happen. You have to put some effort into contacting coaches and have some luck.
USF is about $83,000/year tuition + room and board. All of the WCC schools are right about the same. Made the choice of school that much easier.
It's expensive but private universities are way more expensive. It's not un-doable if going to PSU, OSU or UO with resident tuition.
My kid is going to George Fox in a couple weeks. No external scholarships. No prior college savings. Because we want him to have the full college experience, we are paying for him to live/eat on campus, even though that portion of the expense could be avoided if he commuted. He is paying his own tuition (and other expenses). His expected annual cost will be about $15K. With weekend employment (FedEx), full-time employment during school breaks, and a partial tuition-reimbursement benefit, he is projected to graduate debt-free. It's hard, but with good planning, even private university can be affordable.
Thank the universe for the ignore feature. It's kind of like ex-lax......it gets unwanted crap out of your life.
Our recruiting class may be shit, but there is still work to be done. I may be in the bargaining stage of this whole saga, but at least our schedule got significantly easier. Excited to see all the same faces I've been tailgating with my whole life, we'll all still be there. Go Beavs!
There are 26 million people starving in Sudan. Putin is invading a democracy because it threatens his control. The middle east is on the verge of world War 3. Why are you trying to stir up more negative emotions to represent a university you didn't even try to get into?
