I’d put you on the higher end of firearm IQ in this forum… You ever seen a bump stock used? Or heard an AR-15 with one? You ever watched the Vegas video? Check out both and im genuinely curious what you think.
Honestly, bump stocks have seemed so pointless that I've never given them a second thought. Here is a pretty good video that shows a good comparison : Semi-auto (5 rounds per second), Bump stock (7.5 rounds per second with incredibly poor accuracy [Side note: just look at how much that gun moves!]) Full auto (at least 15 rounds per second [and I'd personally note, full auto still has much less accuracy than a semi-auto, but much better than a bump stock]). I don't know if there is enough information available to determine if the official reports are lies, so I'm hesitant to assume they are. And here is a list of his weapons with a gallery of evidence. https://www.ktnv.com/news/las-vegas...idence-from-las-vegas-shooter-stephen-paddock
Just imagining the effort it takes for a 50-60 year old man to carry that entire armory, plus ammunition, into a high rise hotel room. I’m guessing the cameras malfunctioned during this instance and there’s no documentation of it, just a hunch. Do me a favor and look up some videos of a m240 belt fed machine gun being fired. If you’re really into research, clock the firing rate and compare it to the Vegas videos, see it’s a perfect match. Then, tell me what other two guns have a perfectly matching firing rate of 600 rounds per minute. Spoiler alert: not an AR15 with a bump stock, or any other gun for that matter.
I wonder... Kinda horrifying to think about, but...Vegas shooter fired 1100 rounds and only 58 people died. I wonder if using the bump stock actually killed fewer people than if he'd just taken his time and aimed for a second or two between shots... Especially if he'd just brought half as many guns and spent the money saved on better optics. It's very possible the death toll could be much higher without the bump stock... Even if he only hit a fatality in 1 out of 3 shots... That would still be 100 deaths... And as long as he were aiming at people in groups he'd probably have injured just as many with the misses...
He was already aiming. Just the least effective way possible, with about the least accurate rifle configuration possible. Look at that video of the bump stock. The way the whole gun flops around. He almost couldn't have had a less accurate setup. Even a person with bad aim would likely be far more accurate.
Fucking leftist bitch. They want american's disarmed while they enjoy their own private security. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/so...ds-shoot-would-be-carjacker-incredibly-ironic
It'll be interesting to learn how he got a hold of a gun as a 14 year old. The Newtown shooter killed his mom and stole her guns. Many others buy their guns legally. Aside from a bigger emphasis on improving mental health and getting care to the people who need it I'm not really sure how you'd prevent these attacks. You have a big building full of unarmed people who can't defend themselves. That's a pretty tempting target for a deranged mind.
Got in to Daddy or mommy's guns. Getting ridiculous. Sounds like bullying is part of it. Parents gotta do better job stopping theirs kids from getting their guns. Politicians and others need to stop glorifying guns. We need to better with mental health treatment for sure.
