Andrew Bynum:"Juvenile Delinquent" http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/3756354 <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When asked about Andrew Bynum, the Lakers' 17-year-old draft pick, O'Neal told The Times, "Tell him Shaq doesn't respond to juvenile delinquents without a college degree. Tell him to get his degree and we can talk. In the meantime, he should call me Dr. Shaq because I'm working on my PhD."</div> That was harsh but he may have a point...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ilive4ball:</div><div class="quote_post">shaqs arrogant as hell, but Bynum did ask for it.</div> That'l teach him for making fun of dr. shaq's free throws...
Funny, but Shaq really needs to mature...just a little bit. The kid is 17, Shaq is what...36? I don't know how old Shaq is, but he is in his mid 30's I believe, there is a thing called being the bigger man...Shaq should learn how to do it.
Whats even funnier is that Shaq says the kid needs to call him "Dr. Shaq", because he's working on his Phd... But the thing is he doesn't have it yet.... So Shaq can't be called Doctor; not just yet at least...
You knew Shaq would eventually take a shot at Bynum. I don't know why Shaq is making a big deal about his MBA and education. His degree is from online courses at the University of Phoenix. I'd hope Shaq had a higher education at his age over a 17 year old kid. However, Shaq scored an 800 on his SAT, Bynum scored a 1060.
Funny thing is Shaq has basically paid his way through college and all he can do now is brag about it. Bynum was an honors student with a 3.5GPA, and also had a pretty good score on the SATs. Shaq might think he's smart, but I guarantee you he didn't have anything close to that in high school. Even after all that education Shaq has had, I bet he'd still beat Shaq in any educational level.
You all fail to talk about Bynum's comments: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There was other talk of the future from O'Neal, specifically about Andrew Bynum, the Lakers' first-round selection in last month's draft. Bynum, 17, invited a comparison to O'Neal on draft day, with one exception ? he makes his free throws, he said.</div> Source Can't really blame Shaq for commenting back to Bynum's comments...
This is starting to drive me crazy. Every time the Lakers make a move this offseason, the reporters always interview Shaq. I know it is because of his problems with Kobe and his whole past with the Lakers but it is getting really old. Just because the media knows they can get a funny little quote out of him they are asking him all about the Lakers and I'm sick of it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting UKOwnstheSEC:</div><div class="quote_post">You all fail to talk about Bynum's comments: Source Can't really blame Shaq for commenting back to Bynum's comments...</div> He was asked specifically to compare himself to Shaq on draft day and gave an honest answer. He said he doesn't play like Shaq, he plays more like Duncan, and he can hit his FTs better. The media needs to let this Shaq v. Lakers hype die.

I went through both school systems; public and a private (on scholarship). In city schools, you don't even have to show up to be at the top of your class. Bynum's 3.5 GPA and honors classes should embarrass the nation. If anyone has seen his My Space account, where he lists "Africa" as his favorite country, you'd understand what I'm talking about. Shaq went through four years of college and should get respect for working on a PhD. There's no way that a kid like Bynum is more intelligent than Shaq. You could tell me Bynum has a 4.5 GPA and I wouldn't care, because those numbers don't mean anything. As for a 1060, I scored higher in the 7th grade. That's not too great of a score.

"Non-Laker" fans can't post in this thread? Maybe if you read some of the posts instead of the poster's favorite teams you would see what were talking about instead of coming in here and trying to start a fight.
