<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">HELP WANTED? If former Bulls big man Antonio Davis truly has made peace with the fact that he is now a New York Knick, Skiles said the Bulls will try to add another legitimate center to the roster. Davis initially let it be known how unhappy he was with being part of the Oct. 3 trade that sent him to New York with Eddy Curry. Davis then left the team to attend to a family matter but was fined by the Knicks for not returning when expected. Knicks coach Larry Brown said he did not want an unhappy Davis on his team, which led to talk that Knicks president Isiah Thomas would waive Davis, who then would re-sign with the Bulls. But Davis' tone changed when he rejoined the Knicks on Tuesday. "We sat down as a family and came to the conclusion that this is going to be a great experience for us,'' Davis told New York media. "I was devastated. I had a great talk with Larry, whom I love, playing for him in Indiana [1993-97]. And I had a great talk with Isiah. I just wanted to sit down with them and clear the air on a few things so that I could fully embrace the situation.''</div> <div align="center">Source</div> I?m devastated to here that Davis won?t be returning to Chicago though there where prior reports I choose not be believe them until I heard it out of the horses mouth. I wish his luck if this report is true in New York, and hope he can return to Chicago in the future. As far as another center goes the options seem limited right now unless a trade is in the works. We have been trying to get rid of Pike for a while now, a Pike and filler package might be enough to get us a decent center that has fallen out of favor with his current team.
Looks like Isiah pulled a quick one at John Paxson's expense. I'm sure Paxson anticipated Davis being back, but losing him has to sting. Not only do they lose a big body, they lose his leadership. The Bulls still have some big bodies, but Chandler has to learn to stay out of foul trouble. He still picks up stupid fouls by going over the back or swiping at the ball instead of just putting his arms up. The Bulls will have to rely on Sweetney, Songalia, Harrington, and Allen to make contributions off the bench.
I don't have the exact link anymore, but i read a column from Peter Vecsey this weekend, where he stated there were rumors about the Bulls (and a host of other teams) contacting the Hornets about a trade for Magloire. Also, Nene could be an option. He apparently won't sign an extension with the Nuggets, and could be available to teams with cap sace and willing to give him more minutes, the Bulls being one of those teams (along with the Hornet, Hawks and a few others).

Jamal has been rumored to be traded to so many teams, that it seems almost like a sweepstake who ever gets the lucky lottery number will get him. As far as Nene goes I would love to have him on the team, but he would start most likely would not mean the Bulls will not resign Sweetney when his contract expires? I’m pretty sure he wants to start as well sometime in his career. Edit: Like I said never trust New York news papers <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Scott refuted a report in Sunday's New York Post that the Hornets are considering trade offers for starting center Jamaal Magloire. Losing Davis really hurts the Bulls. They lost a great low post prescence and they lost tons of leadership from him. The points and production on the court are replaceable, especially with the depth Chicago his at the PF spot this year. However, the leadership qualities and locker room prescence he brought to this team will be greatly missed by them.
