At the trading deadline, according the Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks inquired about Garnett, who remained noncommittal on his Timberwolves' future this week. The Knicks again will inquire again this summer, offering up a package starting with Channing Frye. Thomas would also have interest in Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal, who has talked openly about being traded. Seattle's Ray Allen is another possibility, along with free agents Gerald Wallace, Rashard Lewis and Vince Carter. "I've always had great respect for Kevin," Isiah Thomas said yesterday. "He's a throwback kind of guy because he has really taken responsibility for wanting to do it for the team he plays for. He's not looking to hitch a ride to a championship. "He wants to do it on his own. There have been a lot of great players who have tried to hitch rides to get one and haven't been successful at it. You've got to admire his loyalty to his teammates and his organization. He always leaves it up to the organization to make a decision as opposed to him making a decision." Don't get your hopes up, guys. I hope Garnett stays out West if he decides to go. Last thing we need is him signing with Chicago or God forbid the Heat.
Haha, I guess, but I think those untimely injuries are the main reason why the seasons pretty much over.
