Fundamentally, both of these point guards are very similar. They tend to have a scorer's mentality, they're lightning quick, and they can rack up assists in bunches. Over the last couple seasons, TJ has shown that he can be a pure distributor at times and, as we saw in Toronto's first two games, the team thrives when he focuses on setting up others. Unfortunately, Ford has a competitive streak that can often lead him to dominate the ball and make our offense stagnant and predictable (see the Boston game). And when that happens, teams will lay off him and keep giving him those 1-on-1 matchups, knowing that he'll usually continue to play that way and that the Raptors' chances of winning are significantly reduced when the ball isn't moving. Mo will get his points, as he's a hell of a scorer, but TJ needs to stop himself from making it a personal battle and get the team involved.

We've seen both ends of the spectrum over the last few days, as the Raptors shot the lights out against the Nets and couldn't buy a bucket against the Celtics. If they intend to have a successful season, they will need to show that they can squeeze out wins when they aren't on fire. Fortunately, Toronto showed some impressive defense during stretches of Sunday's game and its highly unlikely that this bunch of shooters will come out as cold as they did against Boston. As long as they play within their limits and cut down on their mistakes (the Bucks handed it to the Bulls by exploiting their sloppy play), the Raptors should come out on top.

Lol, I love the girl you post Chutney.

Should be a good game, and it should be a win. I think we will come out flying and have big games from Ford, Bosh and Il Mago.

So what is the over/under on Bobby Simmons getting a season-ending injury, ten games or so?

I want to see Mago defending Yi. That will be trippy--such a new age NBA match-up.

I won't be able to see the game (stupid late classes...), but I'm interested in that as well. Bargnani's matchups should be interesting all game long, because the Bucks have Villanueva coming off the bench too. It'll be a great day for small forwards stuck in power forward bodies.

And I don't think Bobby Simmons lasts the month.

This might be the one team I like the Raps chances of winning the rebounding going into a game. Good point about Villy and Bargs doing battle on the perimeter. This is the first game I'll be able to watch live this season, I've listed to all on the radio and seen the games in an hours, so I'm hyped!

Going to get myself all jacked up on Mountain Dew tonight boys!

Not an easy game for the Raps.

New age indeed. Stern will probably have a boner all game long. It seems like a game he'd show up at too. I'm all for it as it seems we've (Raptors fans) have benefited more than anybody from the globalization of basketball. We are only slowing begining to see progress on the national team but from the current team's make up to the fact that there is a franchise outside of the States proves that when it comes to the NBA, the bigger it is worldwide, the better.

I also think this would be the perfect game to let Garbo log decent-heavy minutes. If he's truly healthy, he'd be our best defender against the Yi/Villanueva. He's quick enough with his feet, still able to muscle them down low, and fundamentally sound.

Wow, Bargs nails a long three. The Bucks are having no problem executing their offense so far. Looks like Bosh will sit a while and Rasho will come in.

Mason is killing the Raps tonight and giving Kapono fits, 11 point so far for Dez including a nice alley-opp.

Toronto is taking way too many jump shots, which you can't really blame them for considering how Rasho seems to be unable to execute simple post moves. The Bucks are driving to the bucket all will and no one is clogging the lane for the Raptors. Bucks on 9-2 run.

The Moon man has landed! It's his NBA debut and it looks like Hump will come in. Toronto has come undone, the Bucks are now on a 16-2 run.

Kris comes in a makes a big splash but Redd is red hot out there. As a team the Bucks shot over 75 per cent in the first quarter.

Toronto just keeps turning the ball over despite little or no pressure from the Bucks. Dixon has been a nice lift on the bench the, the Raps have cut down on the lead and now only trial by 16.
