Say they are treading around .500 or worse and Kidd continues to grow distressed and politely demands a trade, what do you do?

I don't know if you missed it, but they have been trying to trade Kidd for at least a year now.

No shit, but do they put more of a push on it this year? Say a team tries to low ball them, do they force the trade or what instead of the we'll see approach.

Boki will have value because of his expiring contract.

He makes roughly 3 million. What value can you ge tin return for him?

Nothing's changed. There's no reason to give Kidd away.

If someone offers them significant cap room or a good player to build around for the future, they'll take it.

That hasn't happened and it might never happen.

Someone with a two-year, $6 million contract, plus a pick. A mid-first round pick is worth roughly $3 million, I figure.

I actually think Vince Carter is most likely to get traded...followed by RJ.

They play way to similar and do not compliment eachother's game...it would be great to get a quality shooter...which would compliment either of there games.

Until all of the luxury boxes are sold for the new arena, Vince isn't going anywhere.

With the only exception being if Thorn could swing a deal for Kobe.

If we are below average team come playoff time, I'd trade Kidd. It would be better for him and for the Nets. J Kidd deserves the ring like noone else (funny, player like a.walker got his already and JKidd - had not) and trading him to a cup contender could make his dream come true. And we must realize there is not much left in Kidd's tank, so we better get something in return instead of letting him retire or sign as a FA somewhere else.

this team won't be making any major trades this season, unless it's REALLY ugly.

It's getting to be that point. Six straight losses, games are usually over by the third quarter. Kidd himself admitting that even with Vince, we're not good.

The nets should have traded both Carter and Kidd last year. I dont know what they're doing holding onto this team...Trade both of them and get cap room, young players, and picks to build around.

hm...perhaps there was a reason why one article mentioned a few weeks back said "the move to Brooklyn doesn't mean they will be called the Nets" . new faces, new team.

I'll bet you could get someone like Pau by dangling Sean Williams.

I'd love for Sean to be a rising star, in terms of performance and popularity, and have him as one of the key players in the move to Brooklyn.

If we trade Sean Williams I don't know if my broken heart will survive.

Trading Sean Williams would be stupid...there is no reason to bring in aging players when ur still two years away from moving. Honestly I don't think anyone's getting traded unless we get someone who makes us favorites to win a championship or we decide to blow the team up and bring in expiring contracts and young players for the future.

Only reason I mention Carter is because I think Chicago would be interested because he would probably appease there fans...and well they have young talent.

Sometimes, I think we need a point guard who can score consistenly.

Kidd disappointed us recently, his turnover prone, and poor shooting really hurts us.

I don't mind his streaky shooting, but, please don't turn the ball over at least ! Please.

His long passes always produce the turnovers.

6 straight losses? Are you waiting for 6 more?

The only reason it becomes a turn over, is because the players he passes too are idiots and couldn't catch it. Kidd hurts the Nets?! Take him out and see where the Nets land! UNBELIEVABLE!

With Kidd's style of passing, high turnover games are inevitable. Great passing involves high risks. And taking these risks can easily lead to an undesired result.
