season and he's proven to be a dangerous threat on the floor. The Raps will need to keep up the streak of shutting down opposing guards/small forwards. Anthony did a good job of forcing Joe Johnson out of his comfort zone and into contested shots last night and he'll need to do the same tonight. However, on a broader note, the Raptors will have to play good team defense to not only contain Howard, but also stop him from getting the rest of the team involved.

PREDICTION

TJ's injury just seemed to take the energy out of this team last night, and while its good to hear so encouraging news, his health will surely be on the Raptors' mind. The Mavericks have been exposed on quite a few occasions this season, but Toronto really could've used a healthy roster. Coming off a back-to-back and with all these extenuating circumstances, I don't like their chances.

Dallas wins 98- 91

Well ho, ho, ho to you too Chutney, hehehe... It's good to hear that T.J. is doing much better!! Doesn't look like he'll be playing tonight according to Smitch on the Fan this morning. DM will be dressed and ready to back up Jose, when in my opinion it should be Juan Dixon to back him up... Does anyone else agree that Derek should be PG #4 on the depth chart? At least Juan knows how to passth ball!!

I agree Will. I'm not a big Dixon fan, but he's the less crappy of the two. Martin's just plain terrible.

Martin wants to get some shots up if he is in the game, plain and simple. After that he is willing to share the rock, but he gets his first. Not the greatest mentality for a guy who is a player-coach and is supposed to be mentoring our young guards, but they rave about him so what do I know?
Dixon is incapable of running the offense, though. I'd sooner give Delfino the ballhandling duties than count on Dixon.

I'm with Speeds. I'm not sure what you guys saw that makes you want to play Dixon at the point but it's lost on me. While I'm not a Martin fan, I'm willing to give him another chance, this kid might develope into something (teehee).

I really think TJ's injury will be the motivation in this one. I can see us coming out hard and just giving it to the Mavricks till they scream uncle. I like our chances, but it will be tough. We need everyone clicking and playing their best, and we need Bosh to have another monster game.

There's gotta be a win this one for TJ, spirit in the locker room.

Im hoping for a victory against the Mavericks today because I really feel we need to start breaking away from the .500 mark and distancing our selves from the pretenders. Dallas is coming off a rather poor 10 game stretch so this game is definitley winable but we'll need a full team effort, especially Bargnani as he has had some amazing games during this season but followed by alot of poor performances so Bargnani would be my X-Factor, if he plays well we win.

QUOTE (MosDefinitely)

Can someone say De-ja-vu?

Totally, let's hope this team learns from past mistakes. Still, it's tough to complain about the Raps performance so far.

Nice game by the Raptors, the Mavericks looked really sluggish today a big part of that was our defence. Yes maybe the Mavs just had an irregular off night but our defence really stepped up after the first quarter and we began chipping away from Dallas and won the game by a wide margin. Bargnani had a decent game as he didnt really force his offense and let it come to him but there were some moments where I thought he could have been a bit more aggressive as he passed the ball alot and didnt really try to create anything for himself.

Great game by Hump, really showing he can play. Delfino and Kapono with soild games off the bench along with Martin. We really slowed the Mavs down and just played off the energy from last nights game. We made the Mavs look average tonight, which made me laugh. Great game all around and Moon with 4 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks...very good game.

Dallas seems to get off to slow starts, not just in games against us, but in recent years as well. They are much better than they played tonight. Fortuately for us we were the beneficiaries. For having a sore finger/hand, Jose played pretty well. Good to see TJ on the bench with a smile on his face. Bosh looked pretty good, Hump was great, and the crowd was into it.
I'm hoping for another performance like this on Sunday.

Friggin' awesome. I come back from a long night of studying and definitely didn't expect this. Just looking at the box score and reading the recap, this looks like the best possible scenario after last night's disaster: Jason Kapono returned and was effective, Jose Calderon was as ready to start as ever, the Raps continued their excellent team defense, and TJ Ford made a surprise appearance. Real encouraging news all around.

Here's another chick for your collection. I don't know her name though, anyone know who she is?
