Certainly seems like you guys overvalue Boone. His post defense is good, but his offense basically consists of putbacks and layups. He's got no post moves at this point and also doesn't really have a jump shot to go with that.
 
I think JB has some good skill sets. He is a great player on the boards, and good D. His O is getting better over time i expect him to get better and to hit the FT'S.

I know what he can do, i have see him get better snince day 1 at UConn.

So thats what the trade exception was for! Dumpy called it, there was another deal in place.

It is a lot like Bynum in the Lakers forum.

That said, why is anyone ever shocked when a team forum overrates their players? Especially the fans that had Linton Johnson tagged as MIP before a single pre-season game.

Yes he was listed as a candidate by a website, but the hype was already out of control by that point. Nice attempt to spin it though

I'm not spinning anything. I don't have an agenda. There was a lot of laughter about it, given that he was not expected to have any meaningful playing time, or even possibly make the team.
 
If I wanted to spend even an ounce of effort "spinning" something, believe me, Linton Johnson would be the LAST target.

Great; find me the article and a couple of threads about it. Anytime someone types "You are wrong" without providing any proof or supporting evidence, I'm a little skeptical.
 
Memphis has Jason Collins, why on earth would they want another big to compete for minutes with him? They also have Darko, Kwame, and Warrick who should get minutes.

They don't have a good replacement for Miller. They could play Gay at the 2, but then they need a 3.

I don't see the logic in this deal.

On Aug 23, 2005, it was reported the Nets were going to sign him. In that thread run was already hyping his defense based upon his per/48's in Chicago

On Aug 26, 2005, NI started a thread drawing a comparison between LJ3 and Bruce Bowen

On Aug 31, 2005 there was a thread suggesting that he play significant minutes at the 4 for the Nets

Sept 17, 2005 was my first post asking for the overhyping of Linton to stop

That's not what they mean here

10-24 = drunk
10-37 = Crazy
10-41 = arrest
